Bateman has to be done right.

Not a standard Christian Bale head in a suit with an axe. Thats too easy and too much like Bruce Wayne.

Has to be raincoat, screaming and bloodied head look w/ the axe, nailgun, video cassette tapes etc. Extra points for base covered in newspaper. Or maybe make the base his buissness card.

Don't shoot down my dreams Axe! :lol I know it's a super longshot that probably would never happen but one could wish! An Adam and Rainman team up would be sick too.

Nice thinking with the business card base Dekard. And I agree that he needs top notch treatment. Bateman does not equal Wayne. The accessories make this guy. That's the main reason why I'd like to see Rainman tackle them.

Frankly I know many may jump on me but considering Rainman's recent work, and the whole history of Christian Bale's likeness being attempted I wouldnt want Rainman to sculpt Bateman... Adam is the best candidate, also Zkulptor (Erick Sosa) once did a really nice Bale sculpt as John Connor He too could do a great job on this...


And hey dont think Im shooting down the Bateman idea... I WANT BATEMAN, rather I believe I lobbied for Bateman the hardest in most interest lists of custom artists from Rainman to Iminime... and this one figure I want done RIGHT!

Agree with that. It would be the middle one for me. I could handle the screaming head if it was purely a bonus second sculpt.

Those would be hard expressions to capture , one slight thing wrong and the likeness could disappear completely. It will be interesting to see how a figure of Bateman pans out if it happens.

Since everyone is talking Bale, 1st off I'd definitely be interested in a Bateman (Valentino suit, business card holder, severed head in plastic, stainless steel axe, raincoat and newspapers). Not sure about the bloody screaming head version but if it were a change-o sure.
However, my #1 Bale want list still remains Cleric Preston from Equilibrium, and a Tae Diggs/Brandt head could also easily be done to double the set since the outfit is the same.

I love waking up and seeing all this Bateman love!

There are enough hardcore fans here for this to warrant the top notch treatment. And the sculpt should be tackled by someone like Adam or Sosa who can really nail it. If Rainman could nail Bale the way these guys did, then I'd be all for him doing the full work up. Don't get me wrong, I'd love it if Iminime could pull it off. But I don't think their at the point of their growth yet where they can do this to the highest standard(that us die hards are looking for), within the price point that they're trying to maintain.

I know I said this 20 times before but Bateman would be the most unparraled, deluxe "guy in a suit" DX because he's so accessory heavy. Just follow Neca's guideline to do this guy right and add 2 items for the DX: Breifcase, video tape, Walkman, nail gun, axe, chef knife, butcher knife, newspaper base. DX: blood splattered 2nd sculpt and blood splattered raincoat. BANANAS! Oh yea, suspenders too.

I know that you're one of the die hards my brother! I've seen all of your posts. Let's keep praying that it happens to the standard that we're hoping for.

But BTW, I think you meant walkman(tape) & record, not CD :wink1: I know it's an easy mistake for you young bucks because those were nearly extinct when you were still a kid, as 8 tracks were to me. But us dinosaurs remember those ancient days of primitive technology very well. :lol :duff

young bucks maybe... but you forget I live In India.. the walkman tapes was something I used to listen to since childhood, its only been the last 5/6 years that CDs rather mp3s have replaced the cassette tape... EVERYTHING was tape. And even now in our country the tape is the largest format of music media sold.

My walkman still works :lol and yes its by Sony... got my first Walkman in 1997... saw my first film on our Panasonic VHS 'The Big Boss' on our Black and White TV :lol

But actually I thought it was a CD player cause in the movie he keeps buying CDs... didnt see a cassette player around... and just for nostalgia sake a pic of my cassette collection. Thats just the front rack, still has 4 rows deep full of tapes behind it. With my parents collection I should have a couple of thousand or so tapes in my house, and you can see my walkman too in one of those stacks :wink1:
