Iminime are only a small company just starting out , they have not even developed there own basic body yet so as cool as a spike would be I don't see it happening anytime soon.

yeah you're probably right. just being hopeful is all. i know rainman did a mugen from 'champloo', another anime by the same guy who did bebop, but that might have only been a few figures and not even a run on the size that iminime are doing now. might have to just try to find someone to tailor my spike's clothing a bit better.

guess my request for 'ergo proxy' figures would be wasted then....

see you space cowboy...

Do you have a link to some pics of this Rainman Mugen? Champloo is my favorite anime series after Bebop (I really only like the 2, actually), so I would love to see that!

Ahhhh you mean "Triad", not "Rainman." :wink1:

I've seen the Triad versions, they're about the same level quality-wise as the Medicom V2 Spike imo. I would love to see quality versions of the main characters of both shows, especially Bebop. Because while I don't like a lot of anime, I have seen a ton of it, and for my money Bebop is the greatest Anime series ever made.

EDIT: You weren't mistaken! Eagerly awaiting pics! :lol

used to be a lot more pics floating around. but he did this custom years ago. before the triad toys version. and i think it was very limited. like three or five...

Thanks for that!

Hmm, I think I actually prefer the Triad version! :/ The paint is undeniable better on Rainman's but that's the only point of victory that I can see. Aside from the fact that it's a Rainman art piece.

bebop tops the list for me too. as far as series go. and the movie 'knockin on heaven's door' was outstanding. also jubei ninpuucho was a great flic and vampire hunter d: bloodlust. evangelion was a great series too, though i only ever finished the original tv series and still need to watch the new movie releases, though i don't know that it was something i thought needed a rehash. ergo proxy was dope. most everything miyazaki touches--Hayao, the great, not his son.

i feel the same. however, i have long considered going for the Triad but when i see the pics in the review piece, for instance, the paint job looks kind of shoddy compared with the proto and the knees look cumbersome. of course, i suppose i could just get it repainted.
and recently i've begun considering the possibilities of turning a jin into vicious.

I'm completely lost when it comes to Anime outside of really old stuff like Akira, Vampire Hunter D, etc.

I bought some HT stuff from this guy a few months ago and he sent me pics of an old anime figure from Rainman that he was offering me. From what I remember it looked like the one in that pic and Champloo rings a bell. If someone is interested in it I can contact him again and see if it's still available

I bet that the Triad Mugen figure could look really great with a nice repaint and maybe some silicone "leg sleeves" to hide the ugly knee joints. And with the figure only costing $99 to start with, it wouldn't break the bank. Tempting...

thanks for the offer. think i'll hold off on this one. other rainman figs i like much better than the champloo mugen. plus i've been going a bit wild trying to fix my joker collection, and finally getting a dark knight figure, and the iminime mr anderson, and a durden bash...
this hobby gets really addictive and fast. i have had ht jokers since they started coming out, but no customs. and i searched for the medicom spike 2.0 for years. a medicom kakihara from 'ichi the killer'. but no other 1/6. i knew about this site and would browse it here and there, but rarely. then i saw pics of the joker customs. joined, and now i'm not sure where the money for my electric bill will come from.... ha ha ha:slap

I meant to say, considering your SSF name, no suggestion of a "Chuck" figure? :wink1:

Is the gladiator sculpt available anywhere yet? I saw it mentioned in the first post. Thanks!
