Yeah not too shabby but we need something like 40 or so to convince Denny to do a non figure release, so almost everyone who bought the set has to chime in, and those looking to get into the figure should also chime in...

Firstly the deposit scheme is just an idea from my side broached to Denny as a security of people really wanting a non figure release and he has not agreed to it so nothing like a deposit is confirmed. These ideas have floated around because Iminime have NEVER done a non figure release. Denny is apprehensive about going ahead because this is new territory for him and an accessory pack really is something he is still trying to gauge feasibility for.

And release date and estimate value, again nada as we have no idea. I can tell you it will be some time though because they have to finish up a lot of customs before they can start 3d sculpting these

Dont worry about all this, this is just an interest thread for now. There is no compulsion to buy or any spot booking for that matter

And again thanks guys for showing your support! Keep them coming so that we can make it happen!!

It shouldn't be a big deal that this isn't a full fig offering and Denny shouldn't be too worried about this just because he never offered this type of add on. A package like this is considerably easier than offering a full fig set. These are simply just bits that would be part of a full set; he doesn't have to tackle the two other hardest parts of a full set; the sculpt and the outfit!

And if he's worried about demand I think that this will sell very well. We already have 20 takers and this thread is 1/2 a day old. I think that this will even draw in people who didn't buy Iminime's WSK but have custom Batemans of their own and are looking for good custom accessories. Or people that just bought the Iminime sculpt and are going with their own suit could use thus too. This will draw in more than just the full set buyers

Also companies like ZCWO, Dragon, ACI, Loading Toys and many others offer plenty of different outfit and accessory sets for both specific characters and universal use. The whole idea of this isn't really breaking new ground in the 1/6 world.

Of course it has to make sense for him because the set is really about the more intricate items. Sure, we all want a video tape and another CD but the general consensus shows this is all about the nail gun, Walkman and watch.

I don't think that EVERY full set buyer will come in for this but it will be reasonable made up for by the bash owners who can't find these bits on the market.

Hell, there may even be a couple of folks out there that want to use a nail gun, Walkman & watch with other figs that have nothing to do with Bateman.

Lol. No they are not cheap. Mine were $100 each BEFORE having the straps and cushions remade in black leather.

In fact, I'm really glad everyone loved the Diorama so much... really justifies the cost! HAHA

The Barcelona 1/6 chairs that are offered in various places online by Vitra are $480. At $100 you got a steal. My dad brought a 1:1 set of them home back in 1977. My parents still have them in the house.

Hey guys, forgive the repost as I posted this in the main figure thread as well... just want to get a pulse...

Hey guys, just because I've been approached by a few guys regarding the Bateman diorama. How many of you would SERIOUSLY be interested in that kind of undertaking? The price would likely be in the $1250-1500 range and the shipping would NOT be included. Bear in mind that this piece is museum quality and made from MDF board and acrylic. Thus the weight is significant. I would say mine weighs about 25lbs. So that will factor in to shipping costs of course.

I would obviously include the entertainment system painted and detailed like mine. With a working LED in the TV and back lighting in the window. A third of the cost will be required as deposit to cover all of the printing of the backdrops, dancing man painting, TV frame on translucent paper, buidling materials.

Furniture and telescope would not be included. Im willing to ask Fullmental and Davinator how much to create the frames in chromed metal and Billie Jean to make the straps and cushions for you. OR maybe robbie would be interested if enough got involved.

I'm posting this to gauge interest. This isn't a committment to make them on my behalf, i just need to know if 3 or 4 guys are keen then I might be able to make it make sense time wise.
