I'll set a deadline, once a prototype is shown. most likely its a month or so away I would guess.

There are a few different crates from the seasons, and I'm assuming most people will want a few, so you can have one of each if you'd like. Really happy to be working with MB on this.

Hey guys, just thought I'd pop in and say I'll be making a prototype crate and possibly a boardwalk base today. I'll be making them as accurate as possible. The proto crate will probably be shown first. The boardwalk will take a bit longer since I have to cut the angles and make sure everything is squared and straight. If anyone wants to see my previous/ongoing work, check out my thread. I look forward to offering my services to you guys. :wave

Alright, here's one crate made from some scrap wood I had laying around. From some of the reference pictures I saw, not all the boards were the same size and left spaces, so that's what I did. If everyone wants them to look perfect with no spaces, that's what I'll do. From looking at my own work, I now know that I need to make them a bit more rectangular and maybe a tad shorter. I kind of modeled the crate after those "meth tubs" from Office Depot. Comments and criticism are welcome. The lid is kind of just a placeholder until I fine tune the details with a few more practice runs.

Again, this is not the final piece, this is kind of just a trial run to work out the details.

The base will have to wait until tonight or tomorrow. :lol Arkansas has a heat index of 108°F today and my shop has no air conditioning.

EDIT: I now see that the sides don't alternate in a step pattern. That'll be fixed in the final product.
