Thank you for that information, sorry to be a pest, if I may....as I already have a Yunsil jacket I don't really need a new jacket, would the parts be available separate?

and lastly, if you pay the deposit but for whatever you're not happy with the prototype once it's displayed (can't image that would happen but still, to be sure) are you still committed or can the deposit be refunded and the next on the list go up?

Hi Dave. It’s only available as a complete set, but I will happily buy either your Iris jacket or your Yunsil jacket from you, if you don’t need two. I have sent you a PM in Messenger. Cheers, Pete.

Can I still pay the deposit and get on the list for this?

As Mr.E said its the full set. Deposits are non refundable so if your sending it your committing to buying it. Trust me Iris is amazing and she will deliver a good set.

The deposit ...is $150 once the prototype is shown

This is sort of key.

My understanding is that there will be availability to get onboard once the prototype is shown. I had asked this before to be clear because I have so many Indy parts that I do not want to commit to an entire outfit unless I really want all or some of the parts.

So again, Luis, is my understanding correct? I will have a chance to get onboard after the prototype is shown? Even if its just one day?

Also, maybe you should check with Iris at some point once she has the fabric because based on what she can buy she may have her own limit on how many outfits she can make. For instance, if 35 people pay you a deposit but later you find out that she can only get enough jacket material for 27 sets, then 8 people are out of luck. Hopefully the material is readily available but I bring it up only because we had availability issues with the Leia Dress project.

I'm sure they will all be lovely from what I hear the work is usually top notch, but if the deposit is non refundable I think I would really like to see what I am putting a deposit on before I paid that out honestly but like Wor-Gar said, I may be extremely interested once protypes are shown

Which, hate to bring it up again, is one thing that absolutely irks me.

This was limited to 15 and deposits had an absolute deadline.

Which was extended. And extended. Now open ended, event until after prototype stage.

Again, kind of redundant as all said and done, but did piss me off.

Was saving for my first house at the time (which I complete on tomorrow) so it was such a stretch financially at the time to make the deadline. Which never had to be met....

Either way, just excited to see this.

I understand the back and forth believe me she wasn't clear on it. But once the proto is shown i will be closing the run. But at the same time those who didn't jump on will then be upset for not doing so, i want to be able to give them the chance. Honestly me extending it was due to no clear understanding with her for how long or when to close the run. That being said be glad I'm trying at least to work with everyone i want this to be the best run, as far if she can meet the number of sets it would be underhanded if she couldn't provide them and is accepting payments. I will ask her if she has the required amount she also has the list of people she has to deliver.

I for one appreciate you keeping the run open until a proto is shown, Luis. I believe that's how custom projects should really be run... but I understand why sometimes it doesn't work out for smaller projects that only have 10-15 people. But on something like Indiana Jones, where you know the run will be large and where there has been several versions of the outfit previously provided, I think its good for many to be able to see the proto before committing your non-refundable money.

I'm certain Iris will be able to make enough outfits, I was just putting it out there in the event this project explodes like the Leia Dress did.

Believe me i hope not. If she gives me a specific time on when to close it then i will but if not then i probably will let people jump on for 1 day after prototype is shown so if you feel it's for you then join in but if not no harm done. But i hope this doesn't crash and burn as i too want it to succeed plus I'm also in the run as i need a good indy outfit.

Oh no, when I said 'explodes' I meant like 'blows up', like gets really big, like the Leia Dress project did with over 100 people. I didn't mean like 'crash and burn'.

Oh and Cap'n Cook: I totally get where you're coming from. I was in your seat on that Leia project that just kept growing. Hopefully my explanation helps justify it, at least a little.

Ah ok i heard about it but didn't know if it ended badly or what. 100 sets is crazy i imagine iris didn't think it would do that well and didn't anticipate the amount of material needed.

THIS ^ ^ :)

I appreciate that you are keeping it open til after proto types are shown. As mentioned previously I'm sure quite likely they are amazing but $150 deposit/ $300 commitment is a LOT to shell out if you don't end up liking the product so I do think this is really the right way to go.

That said, once the proto type is shown, I assume it will be shown in THIS thread yeah ? and how long after it is shown before the run will close ? 1 week?

I don’t think you understand my point, but I completely understand Wor Gars.

Mine wasn’t that I want this super limited and I also understand what you said about this being a lot to shell out without seeing the proto.

However what about the people that DID put up $150 blindly and months ago?
‘THIS’ as you said is a perfect situation, for YOU. :)

Anyway, said my peace. Luis; thanks for your understanding and response I do fully understand and appreciate it.
Wor Gar; completely get it too and I agree it is fair for this to be open for all and also open until proto shown, just wish that I had known that at the start. Not that I would not be paying anyways as I know this will be fantastic, just that I would have had more flexibility when to pay which would have been helpful at the time.

But I also understand that this was perhaps not best communicated from IRIS.

Anywhoo, sorry for the essay and let’s bring on the proto. :)

I'm very excited for the prototype to be shown. It will be posted here, also on a side note the Sideshow Freaks Forum or whatever it's called isn't working for some reason.

Oh man it’s gone down again? Glad we have this place anyway. I’m so rarely over there these days.
