I agree with all that has been said here, chaps. No need to send anything else to Iris - I believe she can get this right! :)
I do believe she can do it, but there are differences between looking at images then seeing it in hand. I did ask if she wants me to send it, So I'm not just sending it just because. I'm still send her images of them so she has a good idea of them.

I think the glaring thing people are overlooking is the general quality of the fabric.

The TOD one, and the 1/1 one in general, appear to just drape better. Which I think these will when water treated, but at present just look overly off in the ‘baggyness’

I believe the TOd pants is cotton material it's definitely not stiff or even like yunsil material. I did tell iris the pants indy wears are a cotton, wool and so here is hoping that's what the material is. But that's why the TOD pants drape better because the material isn't so ridged.

No I completely understand that. I just mean it needs to be taken into account in terms of making IRIS make amendment after amendment.

The quality is what it is (which is absolutely fine in my eyes) but it’s not going to look the same as another material, regardless of the cut.

Personally I would say just take in the baggyness a degree and call it a day. It’s going to take a lot of futzing regardless.

I understand, i think though if she uses the size of the TOD pants that it will be good enough and futzing should help after. Plus she said that the jacket is almost done and we will see images next weekend.

In my opinion, the best 1/6 pair of Indy pants, bar none, were made by Kato. None of the others have come close in terms of drape. This is what we should be aiming for:

Well these ones were before his prices skyrocketed.

Those Kato pants are from 2011-2012. His prices then were astronomically high relative to figure prices then, just as his prices are now. Those pants were $150, right? Average price for an HT figure then was $150-180.

The price for his Indy jackets have really gone through the roof. I think it was $250 back then, now $800.

This prototype material looks like some type of cotton twill? The pants Indy wears are made of wool cavalry twill, which drapes beautifully and doesn't wrinkle nearly as much as the prototype. Is this the final material?

I doubt there's any fabric at 1/6 that will drape quite as well as the real thing. We'll probably need to do a water treatment to get the right look no matter what she uses.

It really just depends how well you futz the material. The TOD pants i had been futzing the whole time to get it to look like it does plus water treating it. The size of the pants is really just all that's important after that it's how each person futz theirs. At least we can move foward once this is out of the way I really want to see what everyone does with their indy.

True, his work has always been expensive. But everything has been increasing price wise over the years. C'est la vie.

Kato's work is high end as it can get. His prices are insane but it's his work so he has the right to ask for any price. I hope that Iris can deliver something just as good. Trust me I want this to be the best set we get this year and i want people to go nuts looking for one. Lol

I think Iris’s shirt is already the equal, if not better than, Kato’s best shirt work. The stitching is absolutely flawless! I think with a little adjustment, the trousers will be up to that standard too. The real test will be the jacket, which is a much more complicated endeavour...

Waiting to hear back from iris on sending the TOD pants, the size fits the Han body perfectly. Plus it will look better with Creg new boots and inigo v4 sculpt.
