Update: The pants have been shipped and I'm just waiting on Iris to send me the images on the jacket hopefully soon in the weekend, Cap'n Cook sucks you won't stick around for the run but i wish you the best and hope you can still watch this set come to a finish (if it doesn't pull you back into the hobby that is ?).

Thanks man for your understanding and sorry.

Haha it will take all my power to resist! But I very much look forward to seeing it completed.

On the jacket zipping up, that's an interesting thought actually. Having seen Kato's latest jacket prototype, the incredibly expensive one.....the jacket looks amazing, don't get me wrong but I think the zip looks oversized for the jacket in order to get it to zip up. I think it's FAR more important to have a zip in the correct scale and not have it zippable than have an oversized zip that will do up.

I agree completely, Dave. I will never be zipping up this jacket anyway - I have already done my Indy on horseback and I have glued that jacket shut.

I think it would be a nice option to have, since there were some pretty iconic scenes in the movie with it zipped up, but I could also live without it.

There is zippers in 1/6th that don't aren't oversized that can be functional on jackets. Iris knows what she is doing so she will find it, she has had done work on other jackets that had zippers that closed and they weren't oversized.

This is Kato's latest jacket. The jacket is absolutely stunning, but in my honest opinion, I think the jacket is let down by the size of the zip, those teeth look so aggressive. It's a shame because the rest of it looks incredible. Hopefully, Iris uses a small zip. My Yunsil jacket has a really small tooth zip, not sure if it does up, I've never tried. I can't see myself ever wanting to display it zipped up.

Wow yeah, that would definitely be way too distracting. Most of the HT zippers seem to be a lot smaller than that, so not sure why he went with that size.

It doesn't look that bad honestly. Compared to the old medicom or relic hunter jackets it looks better. Though yes it's bigger then what one wants it to be, i do believe she can find the same zipper as yunsil's jacket and make it functional plus the correct color is also important. Regardless there is no point in having it function then if fear of zipper size is really that big.

That's not Kato's newest jacket. The $800 one. That jacket hasn't been finished yet.

As pointed out, yep it is. And for $800US it would want to have a more accurate zip for mine. The eyes get drawn straight to those jaws teeth! Yes the Medicom one is huge too but that's from a long gone era of 1/6 , I'm pleased to hear that you think Luisenigma that Iris will use the same zip as Yunsil. I'm non plussed as to why Kato didn't do so also.

His jacket is made of actual leather so i imagine he wanted to use a real nickle zip for it to be screen accurate. He found the best he could in that scale I'm sure it's alot better in hand then photos so not much can be done.

Wow! Really -- that's it? I didn't realize it was finished, seems like a I just checked not long ago. I hope people will start posting more pictures of his jacket then. Length looks better but it does seem a bit too fitted that's for sure.

EDIT: just looked at his Facebook, lots of earlier pictures there, jacket looks really nice. Zipper not too distracting in most of the other pics. And his holster and gun belt is just beautiful.

Thanks for that. My Indy is an upgrade in progress. A very expensive one too I might say. Further to that whenever I buy anything the exchange rate from US to AUD close to doubles the initial price. Then there's postage to Australia which is expensive also. I've spent over $1,300AUD So far on Indy and have ordered Iris's holster too and plan on upgrading other parts in time, but thanks for laughing. You missed that the bag was Sideshow too so please feel free to point and laugh at that also.

I always see my custom figures as a work in progress! If we all had the exact same set ups on our Indy's it would be really boring. Everyone has opinions on what is best but I love cobbling together bits and pieces from wherever. I would like to think I would never turn my nose up at what others come up with. I have managed to get tons of ideas from people on here and other sites but I always end up doing what I think looks good on my figures.

Also where are these jacket pics?

Don't feel bad it's teasing in the end and not ment to offend. Everyone has made their own versions of indy and worked hard on them anytime i see posts of a custom indy i feel joy as it's cool to see what people can come up with and what work they put into it.
