You can see from the above pictures (and screenshots also) just how much of the shirt is visible when the jacket is open. The look of it currently is quite wrong on the prototype but as long as Iris is happy to keep making changes til it's all accurate then everything is all good

Material in 1/6th just won't behave like 1/1 material. I know we all know that.

First Iris needs to trim down some of the excess material in the torso where I marked. But also, the material will likely still need to be shaped by hand when posing to open like a real jacket. Yunsil's never did without help. Neither did Kato's. You will need to crush and pinch and even use the arms to hold the jacket in place for some poses. That's just futzing. But I wouldn't expect it to drape open too much even after Iris excises some material. Otherwise you'll end up with a very fitted looking jacket which is worse.

I think it's just the proportion she is using to much and also the jacket already has the cotton lining inside. Hopefully with more work and changes it will be fine. I will double check with the thickness of the jacket.

Curious on others' thoughts, but is the lining needed? I know it makes it look finished but also adds bulk.

I think just taking the jacket in a bit at the sides would make it less wide up front, so that should be an easy fix for her.

And yeah I don't really see the need for a lining either since it would never be seen. Although for the money I know others might prefer something that looks like a real and complete jacket.

lining is lovely and all, but ultimately I want the jacket to look the best it can from the outside,I don't much care what it looks like inside.

Throw me in the camp that doesn’t need the lining. If it helps get the proportions right along with what has been suggested, I’m all for it.

Having thought about it, I would have Iris go with the BROWN plastic zipper. I think the black (especially the fabric the zipper is attached to) would provide a little too much contrast against the brown leather material.

I did ask but seeing as everyone said they want the black zipper i told her to go with that instead.

Yeah she is working on that and the pants still cause she hasn't received my TOD pair yet.
