So, seeing the awesome work done today by Rzeznikk inspired me to have a go at weathering the set too.

I also water treated the shirt to tame it and wrinkle it a bit too. I did rub some dirt into it a little too but when it dried it's very hard to see, may do some more, may not, but previously the shirt (and jacket for that matter) felt a little too "straight out of the box" for Indy for me. I really love what Iris did with this jacket now, it really is one of the very best Indy jackets in the market imho

Let me be the lab mouse while you sit and watch huh.

Only if you insist ;):p:cool::LOL:

This is a fantastic set! Though the only thing that appears odd to me is the folded stitched in end of the leg on the lower legs of the trousers. Is there a reason for this? Makes ironing difficult.

Wanna do mine? ?

If I can do it, anyone can. Just get some of that Leather Studios paint and slowly dry brush it on the coat. What I found works the best for me was I went in small circular motions. And I started on the back of the jacket. Once you've got a feel for consistency and confident it goes pretty well. The collar I used Fabric Glue. Put it on the body fold the collar down to where you want it or where it looks natural. Itll hold on it's own, but Imo you'll want the glue to make sure it doesnt pop back up.

Once you feel you have the main distressed look you are going for, go back around the edges of the jacket. The collar, the pockets act. You give a more worn in lived in look.

To create more wrinkles, as I mentioned earlier in the thread, get some "Stiffen Quik". Put the jacket on a old body, push the sleeves up and raise the arms up. Then spray the jacket with it. Let dry. Repeat till desired stiffness. Itll hold the wrinkles.

Optional: you can spray the inside of the jacket too for added support.

The Iris looks a lot better once weathered! I'd go more on the shirt. Put it does look better and more lived in with the water treatment. Did the shirt collar lay down pretty well with just adding the water or did you have go fight with it?

Yup that's supposed to be the military hem those specific pants indy wore had them in all three films. Kato put the same thing on his set only he is a master so it's very subtle.

Here you go. I had started to brush a bit but almost nothing. I don’t think you can tell.

It behaved really well actually. I just sprayed it with a water bottle, scrunched the shirt a bit, futzed it a bit, dried it with a hair dryer a bit and then put it back on the body and positioned everything where I wanted it and it stayed right there. I was super pleased. I may do some more weathering to it. Last night I added little stains via some pastels, but I'm nervous about doing too much with that, we'll see.

You won't find a better set for the price point imho. I am really growing to love this the more I futz with it. Thank you Luis, thank you Iris.

I think I have a new outfit for my Hero Raiders Indy.

Thanks Luis and thanks Iris!

My Yunsil set will go on my Cairo Indy.

And my Yunsil Jacket will go on my Last Crusade.
