Yeah this is tough, the threads turning into a full figure thread instead of just clothes set suggestions

It's tough since they go hand in hand. I say a variation of Bill the butcher. Maybe a Dandy version.

It is tough since people don't order head sculpts without the promise of an outfit...or vice versa. The Rainman head restocks happen so infrequently and it is hard to forecast. This is why the Iris butcher set was so successful. It came out right when mj12 was offering new sculpts and when rainman did the restock.

Rainman re-stocks twice a year i believe, but your never 100% exactly sure what sculpts get re-stocked. It's Colonel Mortimer, Doc with duster, Alex, Wonka etc are always going to be popular. A dandy bill or knife throwing outfit would also be great.

Hot Toys Willis sculpt would make for a good Die Hard 4.0, and maybe even a Butch.
Russell Crowe from 3:10 To Yuma using the Jor-El sculpt.
Then maybe even a Joker outfit set of some sort.
Leon The Professional.
There'a a decent Jason Statham sculpt doing the rounds also, so Snatch etc.

Lets all be perfectly honest and I am sorry if some of you are his friend in real life, but the Rainman restock last run was a nightmare. He is an amazing sculptor and as far as I know a stand up great guy, but the lack of communication and customer service has been disastrous for some. I wouldn't base an outfit around getting a head sculpt from RM, but I also would like something new that can easily be bashed with a great head sculpt.

I'd be in for an Alex outfit with new sculpt.
Would also like to see these.

Having a tough time finding an accurate suit for this guy.

Wouldn't have any problem grabbing an outfit for figure without a sculpt yet. If everyone jumps on the outfit, I can guarantee you some sculptor on this board or elsewhere will be commissioned to make HS to go with said outfit. Too much money to be made to pass up. That's why I don't think that should be what holds up anything new.

I agree, Rainmans last debacle with HS really sucks. Praying he answers my email I sent yesterday so I can make sure I get my doc to go with the outfit I just paid for lol. But hopefully he figured it out and this hiccup doesn't happen. Jist of wait I'm saying, don't let lack f head sculpt dictate what outfit we pick.

Rdeezy, the TD project you were running might be a good candidate for alternate options. Rust's biker outfit and Marty's casual T-shirt and jeans are an invariably different look from their professional attire, and they're from a pretty iconic moment in the series.

That's a great idea Ebeneezer Jones! That would be an extremely awesome idea, the sideshow Jedi Qui-Gon could be a placeholder, lol

Digging that idea too. Wouldn't mind a plain clothes Amsterdam either (I know final fight one was made recently).

I think it could be good, plus you can also do the final battle Amsterdam outfit.

We could always use some Drive outfits. Iris would nail the tailoring on that jacket.

I'm still pulling strongly for Morpheus! With all the Neo bashes, the new outfit by yunsil and Kato's priest outfit we need a morpheus to go with him! Sunohc' sculpt still is around every now and then, Seanjob has a very promising wip but not sure if he's still doing it, if he finishes it it will be amazing! But we need Morpheus's outfit at a reasonable price!

Everyone is great and we can strt a mutual admiration society . Honestly to me it's all business. I spend what I earn and I slog for it so no matter who is great at what all that matters is your specific experience . This time arnd I don have any complains as he gave me two miserable sculpts and one he took back agreeing it was a shoddy job so I have no complains and I am actually happy. But if he din deliver for you per your expectation you have all the right to be pissed cause it's your hard earned money. One more thing I don't understand is (not rainman) many a times Excuses of day job etc are thrown arnd - those are applicable if someone is doing things for free but for anything that dollars are being charged - you me they even if they walk on water they have to be accountable. We are all grown up men and women and am sure u deserve answers or resolution to your issues.

Talk to him on Facebook he helped me address my concern - but he kept saying that his boss runs everything and he kept addressing the boss as "her" / "she". Am sure he meant aeon as sculpts are painted by her and may be boss was being incorrectly used as a word. But my v2 belt had lot of issues so for that he told me he does not do all accessories and tree design will revert. So am sure it's a more complex structure than you know.... Anyways ... Try fecebook.

I never figured that bit!

Those movies are in black and white! No one under the age of 25 will watch a movie if its not in color.
Well two of them are. But the sad truth is that for this reason, some random movie released next week would probably garner more interest in a fancy custom figure than one of the greatest films all time (Casablanca, Citizen Kane, etc.).

Yeah, I was trying to think of some other HT heads that could use outfits, but am a loss thinking of something many people would be wiling to shell out $200+ for to go with Chris Evans Cap sculpt, early '90s Arnold, screaming madman Michael Shannon, older Russell Crowe with long hair, specific Johnny Depp sculpt, etc. It makes sense to present these projects as an outfit + sculpt proposal, then you aren't hamstrung by what's out there already.

Very we'll said.... Those are my reasons to stay away from many new hot toys releases as wel. I mean they do a phenomenal job hands down - the whole nine yards - but I don't know if I want to display avengers 1,2,3,...n in my collection 10 yrs down the line.

That reminds me that they or rather sideshow classic line was to address some good stuff from 70s etc not sure what all they plan to do!

Edit .... Or was it 60s ???

So many of the suggestions are for figures without existing head sculpts, or at least good one's. I would love a Gordon Gekko from Wall Street, but we may never see a sculpt. At least with a Col. Mortimer, the sculpt exists and there are so many of us who have Blondie figures that would go perfectly with a Mortimer. For a Few Dollars More is worthy of representation as well as GBU.

We have the Falling Down Michael Douglas sculpt coming soon, and no clothing, perfect opportunity here.
