[JNIX] 1/6 ANH Luke custom head sculpt - Modifying!!

Said he bought it to make casts for Blade runner??? Sounded fishy to me.

Blade Runner is another movie starring Harrison Ford. It sounds like he wants to modify a cast of Jnix' Han sculpt for a custom figure. He may not have intentions to sell the recast. It could possibly just be a custom figure for his personal collection.

Well that's what I thought. I just wanted to be sure. I don't think it's right to cast this or anything. I want it but want to do the right thing more.

Yes please report this information to Darklord Dave or one of the moderators on this forum ASAP. It's important to jnix and the rest of the community we track down those who cast and sell copies of artists work without permission and for profit. This is a major offense.

It's theft, and it's the lowest of low, but it's only an offence if the artist had consent to use the person's likeness from whoever owns the licence, therein it becomes fraud to copy the artists work.
This is always going to be a danger when limited runs of a cast is done, the ever greedy opertunist will be just around the corner to offer a product that is no longer for general sale.

Yes that is an original. They probably wanted to modify it and not recast. If anything ask for a picture of the steelbox

Yeah, put your pitchfork away mate, I don't like it either, but that's just the reality of it.
Jnix deserves every penny from his sculpts, that's why I buy them myself.

The only recast of this I saw on eBay was out of Sanford FL and the cast pictured was white. This looks like the real deal, but I agree about asking about the steel box.

I think you should get a pic of the steel box from the seller. PM that pic to me or Chubbyman. We can confirm if it's legit. I'd prefer not to have pics of the box floating around the forum, being copied, pasted, and posing as the real thing with recasts.

Not disagreeing that there's not much that can be done but much like "Q" when a recasted was identified a bunch of us refused to buy from him and he was banned for life from the community. That's the kind of action that can be taken and I think is warranted.

I'm entirely on the same hymn sheet guys, I've got my Jnix Luke sculpt bought and paid for, sadly I missed out on the Han sculpt, and unless by some miracle he decides to run another batch, I'll remain to be the guy who missed the Jnix Han Solo sculpt, I have no intentions of buying any other way.

I agree with all of the above regarding recasts. Sadly a recast of the Bourne sculpt is already being sold, using Jnix's original photos. If Jnix keeps records of who buys his stuff it probably shouldn't be that hard to track down any recasters and remove them from the community.

They'll just buy it via someone else's PayPal acc.

This is why Rainman decided to rerelease the heads from time to time, to combat against recasters.
