Just picked up one of these up and it's very impressive...but just like solo the face was a little too glossy looking so i knocked it back with dullcote...
Nice job matrix. The glossy finish does dull back a little after a while, but is still an issue.
I've just ordered some Dullcote and will give it a go.
I assume you masked the eyes when spraying to retain the glassy look?
Yeah i masked off the eyes using tiny pieces of dampened paper towel/tissue or if preferred you can touch up the eyes after with clear gloss.

Army painter matte is what i use mate, it works great.Does anyone know of a good Dullcote alternative for the UK?
I have Liquitex, but not sure if the matte version will do the same job.
Anyone with experience?
It's the spray can i bought mate, it ain't cheap, i think about 12 quid, but it'll last you ages.Thank you.
Do you think I could use the little paint pots? Or should I fork out for the spray?
Here's the little pots on ebay https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/The-Army-P...w_40bRWaOJnDIw

And the results with just a light spray is amazing.
I masked out the eyes and mouth with little blobs of blutackDo you mask out the eyes before you spray or just touch them up with gloss again after?
I got my Dullcote from here in the UK. £5 for the spray, but you do have to pay for courier delivery which bumps the whole thing up to about £12Does anyone know of a good Dullcote alternative for the UK?

Jacob Rahmier manages to cope with army painter matte spray too.Oh and from years and years and years and years and cans and cans of this stuff. Take it from me. Use tamiya spray only. Ever.
And shake the hell out of it before using it.
