Looks perfect with that new tone! That body is suit for that head. I will try in a few weeks to adjust mine to Sideshows x wing pilot Luke

Nice job matrix. The glossy finish does dull back a little after a while, but is still an issue.
I've just ordered some Dullcote and will give it a go.
I assume you masked the eyes when spraying to retain the glassy look?

Yeah i masked off the eyes using tiny pieces of dampened paper towel/tissue or if preferred you can touch up the eyes after with clear gloss.

Received my can of Dullcote. Wow what a difference this makes with a very thin application. Really helps this sculpt to shine :wink1: ... Highly recommended.
Thanks for the advice.

Phone camera pic a bit dark, but this holds it's own pretty well against Jnix's Han now

Does anyone know of a good Dullcote alternative for the UK?

I have Liquitex, but not sure if the matte version will do the same job.

Anyone with experience?

It's the spray can i bought mate, it ain't cheap, i think about 12 quid, but it'll last you ages.
And the results with just a light spray is amazing.

Yeah, I saw the cans were quite pricey, which is why I was looking at the small paint pots because I won't ever use it again.

I might just get the spray - £12 on top of the sculpt price isn't too bad anyway. Just don't like wastage.

Thanks again :duff

Come on guys you're spending 180 on a head buy the damn spray for 12 bucks !!

You know how to fix that awkward shiny nose on the hot toys you just got because it was rubbing against its plastic wrap during shipping? Well...

Oh and from years and years and years and years and cans and cans of this stuff. Take it from me. Use tamiya spray only. Ever.

And shake the hell out of it before using it.

Jacob Rahmier manages to cope with army painter matte spray too.
Why only tamiya?
