Looks really good, MF! What did you do? Am I seeing some teeth in there?

Lots of little things really - a light wash over the skin tones to make him a little more pale, especially around the bridge of the nose. Darkened the eyebrows a little. Darkened the line just above each iris to give a hint of the eyelashes. Made the irises slightly smaller on my 'eyes ahead' sculpt. Slightly more pale lips with a less defined line. And yep - teeth. :) Finally some Dullcote just to take a little of the shine off.

Really nice job!

There is plenty of Hamill in this sculpt, especially when you hit the sweet spots. It takes a tiny bit of effort to get him posed up and lit properly to bring out the richness of the cast compared to Jnix Han (which looks great upside down under water), but if you have it in hand and are not just judging from pictures, it's tough to deny that it demolishes the HT likeness - provided you go through the steps above, and find the "sweet spots"... Cheers!

okay, this is the best I've seen this sculpt look! Fantastic job! Now do mine, lol

Thanks guys! It's still mostly Jnix's paint from my perspective, but shows how close it really is. The teeth actually make a huge difference - I couldn't find a single shot of Hamill with his mouth open that much where you couldn't see his teeth. Here's a few more just for fun...

Back up a little, McFly...

I think the closeups expose a bit too much of the glandular nature of the paint. If you take a shot from a few feet away I'm betting this will sing...

You're totally right there QuiGon - trouble is I find from further back the lens subtly distorts the shape of the head and the shots actually don't represent the sculpt too well. Catch-22 a bit really.

Fantastic, Mcfly! What did you use for his teeth? I'd like to do something similar but have no idea how to.

It's actually Kleenex soaked in grey acrylic paint. Let it dry for a bit then take a tiny amount and put it in his mouth, then use a very sharp knife to pack it in and shape it. Be prepared to spend quite a while getting it just right. The good thing with using Kleenex is that if you use too much or the shaping doesn't turn out the way you want, you can just use the knife to dig it out and start again without leaving any residue on the paint app.
