That's right folks, the man is absolutely right... let's go back to the point here.

I saw posts #61 - #66, will update right away. But I need to know what to do: are we going to maintain this project as originally conceived, with upgraded purple parts (as Kato suggested), or will we have to change it to the look from the first movie, without vest, with only black pants, shirt, coat and green tie, like in the Oracle scene?

Probably only Kato can answer that, since it's his decision. But would be good to know what those who already showed interest think.

PS: considering this interest thread was opened only 2 days ago, for a $700 set of 1/6 clothing, I think we are doing quite well!

I say stick with the original plan that you had with Kato....he did say the whole set is an upgrade from the original so I don't see a problem with it. Now you got to talk to Sunohc about those Morpheus head sculpts and sunglasses and maybe talk to John from IDM to make his weapons ( guns and sword) and as painting goes, it's up to everyone to find their own painter. If we go this path, hopefully it will appease everyone and bring down the tension revolving this project.

I want to get back to the point too but I do want to clear the air like Jeff said. I don't want it to be tense here or in any other thread. So I want to apologize to Wake.

I'm sorry that I lashed out and flipped my s__t. I just really expect more from members who've been around the block a few times than to hit the panic button for no reason. Without getting deep into the equation we see what Rainman pieces fetch and how they maintain and increase in value. Essentially there are 65 of each complete figure when you add up all the packages. And we RARELY see them go for sale. When they do it's for serious paper. So these are still scarce on the market at triple the edition of the Morpheus full set.

There are only 21 of these as is and another 15-20 (bashes) will in no way sink the ship. It'll barely ripple the water. Your investment is safe and the stock won't crash. I just thought that as a more well versed member you'd know all this and not go and do something so drastic.

So now that I’ve (summed it up and ..) explained myself I hope you understand why I reacted the way I did. I also hope you can accept my apology.

I also want to say sorry to Queromarvel for F’n up the place, sorry to Kato for making an uncomfortable work environment and sorry to Seb for having to clean up my mess :monkey3 :newangel

I like the a la carte deal that Kato listed with the full set discount at $700 with the free gift (tie clip). I suppose that some guys could use parts but I think this whole thing doesn't make much sense if it's not the full suit.

Full suit for me and let's see if Daniel will do the run of heads. I know he said 20 or better but hopefully he'll consider 15 or better if we can't get the whole 20.

Thank you for that. I accept your apology. No hard feelings. I understand you predicament. I really want a Rainman Marty McFly. Would I buy the clothes set if Rainman re-issued? SURE. I'd be all over it. But putting myself in the shoes of those who already own it and were told it was a limited release? I hope I would understand.

My contention and goal was not to frustrate everyone in this thread. Ive got relationships with many of you. I've been around these forum for over three years.

In any event, bygones be bygones. Just know that in the future the best way to talk things out is with explanations and discussion.

I totally understand your point of view Pop with this project, and I agree that this shouldn't be cancelled in anyway and see the fustration on both sides and hopefully cooler heads will prevail. IMO the owners of the full sets with the COA shouldn't feel threaten or feel like it will devalue their Morpheus figure.

The way I see it and hopefully everybody can agree, this could be like a Rainman project where there is 21 full sets with COA and the other 15-20 can be a H+C set. Like this their full set figure holds its integrity and won't devalue.

Wake I understand where your coming from with the fustration of buying a expensive figure and then a thread like this drops. I recently bought an Elvis1976 John McClane Die Hard figure, and when you threw up that Iminime Die Hard thread I kicked myself in the rear but to be honest I won't give up or sell Seb's figure (unless I get the right price :lol) and I will still buy the Iminime version. Like Pop said, it's all part of the 1/6 collecting game. :duff:

No one has a crystal ball so it really is part of the game. It's the one lesson that everyone eventually learns in this hobby; there are times when you have to jump in face first and strike when the iron's hot, but more times than not patience pays off.

That's a great way to rationalize the offering. It's exactly that. 21 full sets but 15-20 H&C WITH UNPAINTED SCULPTS :lecture. When everyone is done with their bashes, there will be some that will be more desired than others based on who painted it and how it came out. This and the accessories involved will dictate how each piece is perceived on the secondary market. None of this will affect the original full sets

i see everybody is friends again, thats cool...but lets not lose sight of what happened. because it may happen again, and again,, bottom line is its "NOT COOL TO RUN TO KATO" over what displeases you.. wake wasnt it you who had a walt sculpt (recast) and went and spoke with trevor to make sure it was ok to have it painted? think about how many guys that po'd.. i like you wake,,, but you have to stop thinking of only you....this almost got squashed because of you, pop is right abput the grimes outfit, i paid up for a full figure because of the kato outfit, and then i seen that,,,,but,, in a thinly capatalized market like 1/6 th collecting, i would have to assume that nothing i collect is valuable...now of course that isnt true, but it makes me ok if something doesnt sell for what it should...like i said, i like you omar, i think you are very passionate about what you collect, and you are always generating interest threads for stuff we all like...but please be mindful of the toes that may get stepped on..... this didnt have to happen,,,now i really hope this is still a go... i am in for a full outfit...btw...please kato keep this a go, it has ""zero"" impact on the origonal figure...in fact it probably has made it more valueable...

I was chatting with him and he mentioned that it was crazy that I had paid that much for the morpheus figure. That's when I told him to consider that many had bought the morpheus figure as a result of it seemingly being limited.

As far as my selfishness goes, look I understand how that might come across... but I do have others thoughts as concerns. Its the reason Ive been able to foster relationships with guys like Denny and Kato and Trevor enough to bring projects to the table that everyone can enjoy. But nobody is out there campaigning for figures or outfirs or accessories they themselves dont plan on using.

Let's put this to rest. I told Kato it was okay with me that he offer a new revised tailoring. I may even get a set myself.

I was chatting with him and he mentioned that it was crazy that I had paid that much for the morpheus figure. That's when I told him to consider that many had bought the morpheus figure as a result of it seemingly being limited.

Glad to see this thread has come around...those last few pages were pretty hairy!

Everything in this thread having been said, I'll be curious to see how the head and clothing sets for the Kato/Sean Rick Grimes project are handled when the secondary market value of that figure inevitably goes up. :wink1:
