Na man that would be a nightmare to pull off cast wise unless done flat, but tbh a fur line on the trousers would be easier anyway.

I'd agree... I don't think it's necessary and honestly if you're really worried about it just adding some epoxy and roughing out a fur pattern would be more than sufficient since it's mostly obscured.

Definitely still in for a set :rock

since i jumped on this late by completely missing this entire thread..........can anyone tell me if someone is working on/offering the details of the outfit (besides the cape).....the little details of ropes, braids, etc?...........or is that up to the individual?

I don't know about the braids and beaded strands, but I think the pants were being made by Meis along with the cape.

ok i updated the first page on who's still in on the project, if i do not hear from the last member in the first round by friday i will move the next member up. on another note as of right now tony can not do the clothes due to other commitments, so i'm trying to find another tailor for the project i bummed about this,but we keep the ball rolling and if you have a suggestion on a tailor feel free to make a suggestion. thanks ,luis

I did mention it to tony as he's doing 3 suits for me atm but he didnt say anything. I'll ask again next time he emails me.

yea he was in but the project has been so long to get done he's too busy right now. i really hope he returns to the project. maybe even if we can give him a deposit to let him know were serious and maybe he'll jump back on.

Lforigno has done some great Vader capes in the past. Honestly just getting a good material and cutting it would probably be sufficient rather than paying a lot for one that is perfectly sewn.

I don't think the PF had any sewn edges and looked quite good. The pants will be a different issue, but it maybe possible to get a pair of loose fitting ones (similar to what the Sideshow Jedi use) and then alter them to look like the PF. However, the PF is actually pretty inaccurate; when they showed the proto the pants were of a much, much higher quality.

What should the fabric of the pants look like.
The one on the pf is jeans but I don't think darkness wore jeans at all :lol

You are correct... Darkness was not wearing denim.

Supposedly Sideshow worked directly off of an actual costume of Darkness so the proto was supposed to be very accurate. However, what we got in production was seriously toned down on the details and materials... pretty sad too as the proto was spectacular.

I think the clothes should probably be approached as maybe offering the base pieces... pants, belt and a cape with the attaching shoulder bells and wrist cuffs.

Then the rest would be customized by the individual as much or as little as they wanted. Trying to mass produce all of the braids and beadwork would be pretty ridiculous when you could buy a lot of that stuff at a craft store and just apply it yourself.

We do also need a cod piece, but again... it's generic looking enough one could just make their own out of some sculpy or epoxy if one isn't offered with the set.

I think I will try to use the Noland body I have for this custom... it's the same height as the KP body, but the pectorals are a bit smaller making it look more like Darknesses physique to my eyes.

I may change my mind once in hand, but for now that's the direction I'm leaning. And since the bodies are nearly identical I think this kit should easily work for both.
