anybody thought of using the HT hellboy base figure for this?

Pretty sure it would be too small... not to mention that body will not hold up in anything but a straight armed position. I'm trying to get rid of all the rubber bodies I own as they all seem to tear or break down at some point.

I done a bit more on mine today and apart from the belt area and adding some more tassles to the shoulders i think he's about done.

Looks great, CBob! :clap Dig the paints on the head, and the transition from faux fur to sculpted holds up really well.

Diggin the work on your cape too, GB!

I'm anxious to get started on this, but I think I might wait until everything is in-hand. So far I have some beads and the cape material I picked up for Bats.

damn fine work cbobber..............:clap

any back shots of the cape?...............i know the cape is attached to the wrists but would like to see how it splays across the back...........

Just a quick photo to show the colours better. Just need to sort out the shoulder pads and get better tassles.

I seem to have been lucky with my hot toys bodies but I only have first blood ones and the others are clothed so who knows what lurks underneath:(

I was thinking of using the ringside rebels body for my lord darkness, what do you reckon?
I know the kit might come up a bit small using that body and might need altering to fit.
But I like the idea of no visible joints and a bulkier look more like the film and previous figures/statues.
I was thinking of even resculpting the chest to have the more alien type melted muscle effect.

btw loving all the pics guys, so jealous can't wait to get started on mine now:)

I'm not familiar with the ringside body in-hand but from pics it looks good. Once modified and the lower legs narrowed to fit the kit it would look cool.

I'm not familiar with that body, but I'm sure there are a lot if good options for this. To me the size and most of the shape of the KP is a good match for darkness. I'd love for the chest to be smaller and shoulders a bit more pronounced. But as far as stock options I think this is the best.

Greetings guys, truly amazing work!
I can not believe it, it's awesome.

I am writing because I have a favor to ask.
To all who asked figures for the second run, I ask some patience.
The kits are in progress.
Oscar.

Watched the film today.
Havn't seen it for a long time but it is still a classic.
Girlfriend wasn't that keen but guess its one of those films that was of its time and means more to me as I saw it when I was younger and more easily influenced back then.
innocence lost;)
