Re: Wonka limited run 30 by Rocco and Rocco's Tailor. 20 spaces filled

Is the Kumik body comparable to another body, size wise, in case we want something different? Is it being tailored specific to the Kumik measurements?

Hey man I'm not great with bodies it's pretty much a slim body here's the link, https://www.ebay.com/itm/KUMIK-1-6-...-WITH-PROTOTYPE-HEAD-SCUPLT-NEW-/360780192393

It's a cheap body but is pretty dam good as apposed too the cheap knock off's you'd get..... Baring in mind you don't want it to be too bulky because you've got the shirt vest and jacket. That's the body it was being tailored too.

The proportions look about the same.... I would hope the skin tone we get isn't that shiny though?

I thought the same that's why I choose it aha, the skin tone is the same as the photo shinny however you'd only see the hands because the sculpt has a neck so it's literally just the hands that need to be sorted.

Re: Wonka limited run 30 by Rocco and Rocco's Tailor. 20 spaces filled

I think the truetype slim is a little slimmer but it's hard to tell. Through my reading the kumik is a cross between the narrow shoulder body and the slim. If we are dealing with having to buy / use alternate hands does the price difference really help us? What's everyone else thinking?

Re: Wonka limited run 30 by Rocco and Rocco's Tailor. 20 spaces filled

You can buy hands for a few bucks. So if you take the $15 for the body and then even estimate $10 for a pair of hands or two that is like a $40+ savings compared to using the Hot Toys body. I can't speak for anyone else but saving around $40 would sound good to me.

As long as joints are good I can deal. But also just making sure the body is perfectly proportioned because of all the clothing layers.

Good questions.

We're rolling now.:hi5:

Re: Wonka limited run 30 by Rocco and Rocco's Tailor. 20 spaces filled

Trust me the body should be pretty good we'll see when the proto is underway :)

Working on a deal for boxes too! Soon as you as it's a full set I'd like to include boxes :) ordered a few to see which ones are best.

If it is a displayable box that would be cool. However would it make sense to "Box the figures"? So many are Stateside, in England, etc. Actually that brings up a good point...

What stops will Wonka be making? We know they are with Rahmier now (or soon to be), where is Andy based? Would we then get the nude figure sent back to us and then await the clothing and box? I am all about logistics, its what I do lol.

Re: Wonka limited run 30 by Rocco and Rocco's Tailor. 20 spaces filled

Since Rahmier is in the US and I think Andy is also, the box, clothing, and the nude figure should be sent together. The Wonka sculpt and Oompa should go from Rahmier to Andy, then on to us directly. Just want to make sure I'm not missing something.

Re: Wonka limited run 30 by Rocco and Rocco's Tailor. 20 spaces filled

Hey man yes it is I bought a few different boxes to test out like for weight etc as I don't want them to be stupidly heavy the boxes I was playing in doing would have a wonka theme design to them, I talked about originally having a slip box as a wonka bar done but the size was an issue obvious because you need to fit the ompa and wonka. The boxes I've chosen so far would fit both nicely in 2 layers..... Just a case of looking around while the other bits are being done.

Well Rahimer is based out in the states andy lives near me in the Uk. Yunsil will ship all paid clothes to me and Kumik also will ship the bodies to me.

If the guy that makes boxes does the box it would be cost effective for me to have them sent to someone in the states for packaging. It all depends on where the boxes are made haha. I felt like you guys are paying for the quality so why shouldn't I go that extra mile.

Makes sense! So wonka will leave the states and get finished in the uk and then sent back? Our figures will be worldly travelers haha. A wonka bar design would be cool. I will be curious with what you come up with.

I know,it's a separate thing, but where is the guy making the accessories based?

Re: Wonka limited run 30 by Rocco and Rocco's Tailor. 20 spaces filled

Looking at that Kumik figure in the photo.... does it have a proper neck adapter? It doesnt look like it in the photo, which is why I am asking. That would be an important thing to make sure of.

Kumik has others on ebay in the $25 range that do have the adapters. I would just triple check if current hot toys adapters fig on this.

Hey man I own a kumik used it for the hot toys godfather last night as his leg broke :( hot toys neck adaptor does work :)

Also got the box in today bit on the big side same size as a hot toys box will see how much it cost to post if it's too expensive then I will down size the box.
