Re: Wonka limited run 30 by Rocco and Rocco's Tailor. 20 spaces filled

Tried out some magnets in the hands and arms so they can move. Idk I'm still tweaking it. I don't think I can offer this for everyones. I have to see how long it will take and how secure the arms are gonna be in the socket. The shoes seems a little big compared to a new HT wolverine shoe in pic. The hair pieces glued down will never look good. They need to be all sculpted on or real hair. I think real hair would look way better than this sculpted pieces. Just my 2 cents.

Interesting on all fronts! I am interested to see how things work with the magnets, that is a really good solution!

The shoes do look ginormous! It is a shame too because the sculpt on them looks really good.

I think many of us are going to be desiring haired sculpts. I cannot speak for everyone but that is the route that I want to go down for sure. How are things looking in hand in terms of the likeness?

Yeah here are some pics and the hair is attached by sticky tack for now. Here are some pics of the sculpts.

The faces are looking good! How do the boots look with pants, do they look clown shoeish?

Re: Wonka limited run 30 by Rocco and Rocco's Tailor. 20 spaces filled

How did the shoes end up so big?

I said from the beginning that the hair needs to be the real hair to look good. The three piece is good in theory, but just doesn't look right.

I'm not sure aha maybe with the pants they wont look so bad they do look massive though..... Indeed I'm just hoping Andy can do the hair justice! :D

Rahmier you did an amazing job with mr Omppa looks insane man! :D

Re: Wonka limited run 30 by Rocco and Rocco's Tailor. 20 spaces filled

I would be curious to see how thick the ankle of the boot fits. It would affect tailoring and the general look. Just want to make sure they aren't super massive.

Re: Wonka limited run 30 by Rocco and Rocco's Tailor. 20 spaces filled

Here a pic on the HT wolverine with a knockoff muscle body. The pants fit over them but they are still bigger than a boot should be. Doesn't look too bad I guess.

Comparison between the wonka and some wolverine knock off boots off ebay. There not too much bigger acyltually. Might be just fine guys. Sorry to cause a scare

Are those knock offs meant to slip over a hot toys foot? Some shoes are bigger because of that.

No worries! Those boots and many iterations exist on ebay. I think these will look great when painted...and hopefully shiny? Hehe

Of course do you guys want me to wait to paint them when it's decided when the outfits are a go? I really need to do them all at the same time? Just trying to plan them into my schedule?

What's everyone thinking? Also how many heads have headed rahmier's way?

I imagine it's easier to do a bunch at once than to stagger them right? I am in no rush since figure completion hinges on tailoring and hairing as well.

Yes more so just to make sure they are all the exact same. Also since most are going to just be painted bald I am going to adjust the price a bit.

Re: Wonka limited run 30 by Rocco and Rocco's Tailor. 20 spaces filled

Maybe Wolverine has tiny feet? hehe.

Either way the sculpts are looking great, and the articulation idea Rahmier worked out with the oompa loompa is brilliant!

Re: Wonka limited run 30 by Rocco and Rocco's Tailor. 20 spaces filled

Ok I gotta get some materials today for this but I think I can get full articulation out of the shoulders this way. I'm going to hook a band through and attach the arms through the body. The hands will be fully rotational and are attached by magnets.

Good approach!

Re: Wonka limited run 30 by Rocco and Rocco's Tailor. 20 spaces filled

I am also throwing this out there for the boot paint approach. Nice and glossy! Rocco actually nailed the little stripe in the middle in the sculpt, which is awesome.
