I'm ok with the current sculpt.

I would be curious to see the Wonka with the revised eyes and hair to see how it looks I may be ok with it too. It is hard to tell from the photo of the hair being held on. I like to keep my options open! If a better option is out there I wouldn't want to spend money to paint this one, I am just all for getting the best of whats available.

I think it looks really nice! I feel with the sanding and those blue eyes that it's looking really nice. How's he look with mock hair and hat?

The outdoor pics definitely look pretty darn nice, I think I am liking it quite a bit. The hair looks a little too poofy inside but better outside... did you futz it between photos? Either way I am digging it! Hows everyone else feeling?

Can the hair be futzed to go under the hat better if needed? The only other thing I could possibly say is maybe have the painted hair be a trifle lighter on the mutton chops to match the rooted hair. You really managed to capture his crazy hair perfectly! Brilliant

Yes I sprayed it and fuzzed between photos. Also yeah I'm not sure if you want the hat to be removable then the hair will never sit flush to head and make hat look rigjt. The hair under will have to be smashed. You can make the hat glued to head and hair coming out from under it or poofy and sit on top of it.

Jake, you have TRANSFORMED that sculpt! It now perfectly captures Wonka, especially as he appears (with his warm smile) on the Blu/DVD cover. MUCH better than RM's, imo.

Agreed... this really looks quite nice once painted. It's got a touch of roughness to the sculpt, but still a better likeness.

Evening guys right there is some awesome news MG has kindly offered to do a new set of sculpts with the Main Ompa lompa! I will be sending out pm's tonight anyone who'd like a new sculpt by MG. Due to the amount of work Rahmier has had to mod Rocco's and it still looks rough I want to make it better...... As guys have asked me to get a new sculpt Mg has been awesome as said he'll do it!

We are going to use the ompa body still but we are going with the main Ommpa lompa rusty toffee (same ompa as rainmans)

You guys deserve a master piece and I'm not settling for half a piece! :hi5:

Jake, you have definitely pulled the rabbit out of the hat. Looks much better than I thought possible. Agree on lightening up the color of the sideburns.

Question on the hat fit? Is it sitting high and not fitted because of the hair, or is the opening of the hat too small for the head?

It's sitting high because of the hair.

Pm's will be sent in the next hour I need to get a set number....... For Mike. Jake would probably be agree it's far easier to get a new commission and get it spot on rather than sand ever single cast down.
