Re: Candyman & Friend! Monty productions! Sculpts by MG! SPACES NOW OPEN!!!

Pretty sure (99.9%) Rainman used a slim TrueType for his. Ttm22 is the slim true type. The ttm21 is the same as the newer knock off bodies that you originally pictured.

Yeah kumik slims are similar, but wider is the shoulder region. It would work, but the hot toys slim would be perfection.

I'd be prepared to supply a ttm22 to get the size of the clothes right. Could others do this?

I have no problem with supplying my own truetype slim, it really is a perfect body. With nice tailoring it would look great. Does the tailor possibly have the official slim body on hand? I feel like most tailors keep them around.

I can confirm that rainman used a ttm21 for his from 3 Separate sources...... Why are bodies never simple :lol

I think using the slim could set this project apart from rainman. It would lead to really nice form fitting clothing, and it would work great with the layers. His arms in particular are vet slender. The ttm21 has a bit of mass to it, which is not quite the best fit.

I can supply my own hot toys slim if need be...:)

Cool let me have a word with the seamstress and see if she's ok for ttm slim :)

It's all about the details! Tailoring to the slim will look spectacular, especially with how many layers of clothing wonka has. It's pretty much the same layers as the Joker, so careful choices are key. The tailor will definitely nail it. Will they have the shoes to get proper pant length?

Re: Candyman & Friend! Monty productions! Sculpts by MG! SPACES NOW OPEN!!!

So when you say slim, you are referring to the TTM22? Just want to make sure we are all on the same page. Since many of us agreed to supply our own bodies to save on the shipping, this should be easy and I'm sure the seamstress has a body around for the measurements as they do this daily.

Re: Candyman & Friend! Monty productions! Sculpts by MG! SPACES NOW OPEN!!!

Indeed it's the ttm22 in saying that you still have to remember that not everyone wants to supply their own body as some don't have them not even I've got a trm22 haha! I waiting for mike to send over some pics and then I can forward them to the seamstress see what she says.

Once the proto is up I will redo the pricing so everyone knows where it's at.

In saying that I think this piece is going to be something special when finished. :)

I agree. We are nearing the finish line, getting really exciting.

I actually have a ttm22 slim body I got a while back on the ready, which I am glad to use on this set!

Awesome guys one question does the slim have a smaller neck plug than a standard body ?

I'm not sure what the completion date will be it maybe before Christmas or it maybe January until the proto is done I won't know haha!

We are nearing the finish line, I'd say half way :) Feeling excited too see them fully painted sculpts! ;)

The plug that goes into the body is a little smaller I believe to allow better movement in the smaller frame. However the part of the plug that goes into the head is the same as any other figure. The Truetype comes with the appropriate plug so that wouldn't be an issue.

Word of caution on the Kumiks as well...I got a set recently and they did not include the neck plugs at all.

I'm good to supply my own ttm22. .

He is a pic of my old RM sculpt custom on a ttm22, if the new hs is similar in size it will work well.

On another note the kumik slim is a great body, joints are tight, but it is a little bigger in a couple of areas - no neck plug confirmed. It's colour is also paler than ht bodies. They are readily available at kbhobby for 20Aud.

Re: Candyman & Friend! Monty productions! Sculpts by MG! SPACES NOW OPEN!!!

The kumik slims do not come with neck plugs as far as I know. When I used the kumiks for my ghostbusters I had to buy the neck plugs from toy anxiety, the slim plugs are not easy to get. The kumiks are an odd color and the hands are garbage. They are super shiny and an odd pink color.

If we went with the truetype slim bodies, new hands and neck plugs would not be required.

So what would you guys like the hot toys ttm22 or the Kumik slim? The seamstress has kumik slim ready on hand now, only problem is getting hold of the kumik bodies as they have become a lot more expensive since I first suggested it, then there's neck plug and hands.

Here's a pic that Mike just sent me looks perfect! I'll let you guys decide :)

Looks good.

Re: Candyman & Friend! Monty productions! Sculpts by MG! SPACES NOW OPEN!!!

I'm guessing all of the full sets are taken. But, is getting on the wait list still an option?

Re: Candyman & Friend! Monty productions! Sculpts by MG! SPACES NOW OPEN!!!

I also have a TTM 22 that I can use, so that would be my preference. Thanks.
