Getting the shirt onto the oompa is non-trivial. :dunno

Tailoring is beautiful!

Yes I've been trying with the arms pointing up but worried about either the shirt ripping or the arms breaking.

Another question just to drive home my ignorance when it comes to assembling figures - I've got the TTM22 body and it is unclear to me how to fit the head onto this body. Any suggestions?

For me it turned out to be easier to get the oompa jumper on by putting the arms straight down by his sides first, tugging it on halfway and then raising the arms up before pulling it down over the arms and body. Anyway - all good now. :)

Heat the arms up and remove them...put arms into shirt pull over then plug them in is best way

If you bought a brand new ttm22, it would come with a neck plug but it doesn't look like you have it in your photos.

I did buy a brand new TTM22 - just removed it from the package today.

edit: found the plug and got the head attached correctly - thanks!

Any recommendations for the glue to attach the pompons to the oopma shoes?

Use a little dab of super glue or Thick 5-15 sec CA from the hobby shop. I use this stuff all the time and that's what I used on my Oompa. Just be careful and only get this stuff where you want. Double check the direction of the swirl on your pompons, and make sure they are facing the correct way before gluing. You got one shot at this once you apply the glue. Apply glue and quickly stick on and hold it for 30 sec to be sure and let go.

It's easy, took me 2min. total.

I'm still working on my Wonka, gotta futz the Wonka hair. I also repainted the eyebrows on my Oompa head too. I made them thicker/fuller and more straighter as well, just like in the movie. It really improves the look.
