Did you get your figure today Emarae?

I didn't get it today and was pretty much close to giving up on it getting to me. But since you posted this question, I decided to check the tracking again and it finally says something new! It's in Los Angeles now, so I'm feeling hopeful again! I hope possibly by tomorrow? I certainly hope so! :yess:

Yeah, I'm feeling happy about actually having it in hand soon again! What bugged me most was that it was shipped EMS and should've taken maybe 1 week at most. California to Mexico isn't as far away as NY or even the UK, yet they all got theirs within a week or so. It's going on 16 days for me and I couldn't even track the package which was the most frustrating part for me! I'm glad to see there is actually an update now saying it's in Los Angeles. I just hope customs didn't mess with it and damage the figure somehow. My anxiety over waiting is making my imagination run wild with what could go wrong next. Like what if they switched it with a beat up 12" Sideshow Freddy or something...! Damn..! :thud:

Well, after all the drama of waiting for my package to arrive, it's finally here after about 17 days by good ol' EMS! I expected the worse after seeing the shape my box was in, but my Freddy was well packed by Beto & Lu and he's amazing! Everyone that got one already knows!

Here's a pic of my Freddy happy to be out of his shipping box. In this pic he looks like he's saying "The ride from Mexico to California sucked ass! I'm so glad to finally be free!!!!"

Thanks, bro! Yes, I'm relieved he finally arrived and in one piece! I was really about to give up on it for a moment there! So glad there were no other problems and I'm loving this figure like crazy!

I agree! I can't believe a considered passing on this since I already had the original Freddy. I figured one was enough and I would be okay without another one by Beto! So glad I jumped in last minute to get this beautiful work of art! I'm not sure if I can afford a Freddy 3 as much as I would love anything else that Beto does! Gotta save that money for other Beto projects! Oh man..! Too much amazing stuff! :slap

I was digging through the archives yesterday and found this! This was the first 1/6 Freddy I ever owned from medicom back in 1997. It only took 15 years to finally get the Freddy that I always wanted. What were you guys collecting?

I used to have this figure too! Mine didn't have a stand like that as far as I can recall. I don't remember a stand at all, so either it was really generic or it just didn't have one? Anyhow, I guess I sold it loose years later without a stand! LOL! These pics bring back memories, but I don't have any regrets with my upgrade since! :lol

The base didn't come with the figure, it's from Hottoys Terminator Salvation.

This was my first Freddy figure. I think I was about 9 or 10 and remembering my Dad helping me winning a bunch of tickets from game machines somewhere back in the Bronx or Yonkers. Also remember pops taking me up to a store name Dragon's Den back in the 80's and I would buy that Nightmare on Elm Street sticker book and picking up some garbage pail kids cards/stickers as well. Man I missed growing up in the 80's....

Oh man! I remember that piece too! It's funny how they had toys like this for kids back in the day! This was for ages 6 and up! Nowadays it seems parents are more strict about not giving kids toys like this and toy companies are less inclined to market horror licenses for kids! We were kids during a magical time! Surprised the gloves weren't made out of real metal! :lol

Thats awesome and yeah the 80's was the best era to live in as a kid. I was born in 1981 so got to be a younger kid throughout the decade and wouldnt change it for the world. Nintendo, High quality Toys, Cartoons, Ninja Turtles, Horror movies, practical effects, Saved by the Bell, etc... I miss it. Kids would actually play outside and go on adventures in stead of sitting inside playing games all day and talking on cell phones.
