Oh man! I remember that piece too! It's funny how they had toys like this for kids back in the day! This was for ages 6 and up! Nowadays it seems parents are more strict about not giving kids toys like this and toy companies are less inclined to market horror licenses for kids! We were kids during a magical time! Surprised the gloves weren't made out of real metal! :lol

Magic time indeed. I remember a lot of young kids going with their parents to go see Robocop 1 and 2! I guess it was the norm back then. I also remember when part 2 came out, I think Alexanders or Bradless department store will have someone in a Robo outfit to take pictures with the kids. Don't see that anymore.

Thats awesome and yeah the 80's was the best era to live in as a kid. I was born in 1981 so got to be a younger kid throughout the decade and wouldnt change it for the world. Nintendo, High quality Toys, Cartoons, Ninja Turtles, Horror movies, practical effects, Saved by the Bell, etc... I miss it. Kids would actually play outside and go on adventures in stead of sitting inside playing games all day and talking on cell phones.

Great perspective from someone who would have been 8 by 1989...

Now imagine the perspective you'd have if you were born in 1971. The movies of the '80s would actually have some meaning - watching Sixteen Candles (for example) as a freshman in high school the year it was released gave it a little more meaning.

The NES gets released the same year; no such thing as the internet, cell phones or worrying about playing outside without getting kidnapped or whatever. Tough raising two young boys right now.

Seems like things were a lot better back then, IMO. :yess:

I know exactly what you mean!! I was born in 71 as well so the 80's were definitely my most meaningful "growing up" years.
