No exciting visual update here, but I was able to get 90% of the lynchpins primed and painted (32 pieces total) plus I got the ankle piece, primed and the black and gold flatted in, and will start weathering on those next.

Pretty much I'll just be updating with visuals on the weathered pieces, not so much the priming or flatting process, as it's pretty boring.
 
I reviewed my kitted version and Dayum! I wish I had the extra coin to have it painted! This set is top shelf. Very well done and the packaging/ presentation rivals ANY production packaging we see on the market. Best custom packaging I've ever received! I'm blown away by the total offering all the way around. My only nit would be my foot has some serious bubbles from the casting but it should be fine once the sole is applied.

You guys are in for a real treat!

Whew! I honest to God, get tummy rumblings when I send a new item out, waiting for that first bit of feedback, I'm always very critical on myself, and I just want the hard work to show through, so thanks for taking a moment to chime in. Yeah You're going to want to scuff up the crap out of that shoe bottom before applying the glue and attaching the sole so that the glue has tome tooth to stick to, so the shoe bottom bubbles should be a non issue.

I completely understand. My brother and I are just dipping our toes into offering custom projects with only one under our belt so far but waiting and hoping that someone else thinks your work is worth their hard earned money is a hair raising experience.

This project is well worth it. So precisely executed. Couldn't ask for much more. The price point was just right but adding in the packaging, I'd say we got one helluva deal!
The edge of the heel at the bottom has the biggest air pocket in it. I'm gonna cut a hole in it and fill it with superfine milliput. Should be just fine.
 
Oh wow! Those are looking pretty sharp!

The shoe that is on the leg is the general issued "prison shoe" in the movie I think, I don't know how big or small these shoes would look against one of your bashes, but after this run if you wanted to talk about getting a few casts to try out, let me know.

Yep, it would be great if I had the same prison issued shoes. I probably spent too much time pausing the movie studying the shoes, and finally going with something I was capable of making or buying.

I took today off and got some major progress done and plan to keep at it over the weekend.
I had to send my 2 good lenses off to Canon for some warranty work, and will have them back Tuesday, I should be able to share the pics of the progress Tuesday night, stay tuned!
 
Massive update:

- All Thigh Pieces are finished!
- All Ankle Pieces are finished!
- All Knee Pieces are finished!
- All Shoe Soles are finished!
- Shin pieces I should finish up tonight!
- Wire segments are cut and packed!
- 90% of the lynchpins are finished

So here is where we are guys, I have been painting everything in groups because it's just quicker and easier. The only thing that I have to do one at a time is the shoes. So once I finish up the shins, everything will be done except for the shoes. After each shoe I finish, I will pack and ship a set, one after another so folks can go ahead and start getting these. We are nearing the finish line here, and I am thrilled with how everything has been turning out. I will be going in order paid, so if you are near the top of the list and owe a painting balance, I would go ahead and get it in. If I get to you, and there is a balance still owed, I will go to the next person in line to ship.

So everything is officially finished but the shoes, and as I mentioned above I'll be doing those one at a time instead of all at once, and shipping as I go.

I did determine that U.S. shipping with tracking, packaging etc comes to $12.00.
Unfortunately for anyone international I'm not going to have a firm quote until I actually go to ship one.

If anyone has a shipping balance and a paint fee due, feel free to go ahead and get those payments in.

Please remember, you need to cover the paypal fees or send as a gift.
