I have been badgering Chris over at Corrose Designs for a sheriffs badge for my Deadwood Seth Bullock figure for ages. As anyone who has tried to find an old west sheriffs badge knows, there are none. Well good news. Chris has worked up a prototype badge and we are trying to gauge interest for a production run. I think Chris has nailed it. What do you think?

Let us know if this is something you might like to get. Price will depend on the amount of members interested. I think we'll need at least 10 to get this in the ballpark cost wise.

So these would be 3D prints and ideally I would need about 5-7 or so orders to do these.
For those of you who don't know me I own and do my own 3D printing. I have attached an image of the kind of detail I can achieve with my printer.
This image is right off the printer with no post work.

If I can get about 5-7 orders, the price should come in around the $15 mark.

Before this posting continues, I need to clear up a few things. I am only the initiator of the thread. The Sheriffs Badges will be made and sold by Corrose Designs. Chris will do the billing, making, and shipping of the Badges. I just wanted to get the ball rolling on the project.

If I were going to do a sculptural change I'd prefer to at least have 3 orders for a second version on top of the 5-7 pieces for the first design. I have to be able to justify the time for making the change and a one-off makes it hard.

so yeah if a few folks say they would want that version also I could offer it also.

thanks

Interested.

Edit: Would it be possible to get one saying Marshal instead of Sheriff?

Ok, so enough folks spoke up and I reworked a second version for Marshall.
So the next step would be for folks to send payments to secure the run.

Each badge is $15 and shipping is $3.50 for a total of $18.50
If ordering one of each, just add the shipping once obviously.

To help protect the round tips, these will be shipped with a support platform just like the example you see on the first page. This will help keep those tips reinforced for the trip to you. They are super easy to snip off once you receive yours.

Paypal is: [email protected]
And I cannot stress enough, your shipping address MUST be in the paypal notes. I can't rely on trying to match up payments to posts here or PMs. If your shipping info is not in the paypal notes, I will probably just refund your payment.

If ordering multiples, please specify if you want 1 of each, or 2 of the same.

Once the print run is finished I will post some photos for everyone to see before these ship out.

Feel free to send payments as soon as you are ready.

Thanks

EDIT: Photo is giving me some issues on uploading, please stand by.

I'm pretty sure everyone wants this in 1/6th scale, I know I do.

Oh, no what I meant was what size should this be IN 1/6. In other words I don't know the size of a 1:1 to know how much to scale it down.
I'd prefer you guys to agree on the dimension. Keep in mind that even as much detail as I can do at this size, I would recommend getting the true 1/6 measurement and adding just a little to it. The bigger the print, the more legible and sharper everything will appear.

Sorry for the confusion Chris. I think 12mm tip to tip should do it. 10 to 11mm would look best, but I added a mm to give you a little more room to work. Do you plan to offer these painted for an additional fee?
