I agree. It's looking too pink for my taste - LOL. In fact on my bluray the shirt is a dirty orange colour. I also believe it's long sleeved not short. Hope this is helpful. Cheers!

When I made my Harmonica, I went with the pinkish look. I always thought the shirt was a faded pair of red long johns. It does look like orange in some scenes though..

Yes I agree. They were red once but the sun has turned them orange as they have been exposed. That's what happens with some red dyes. They go orange from sun exposure not a lighter red.

Were not going to get a 100% color. In the film its a faded pink-red. It would need weathering for sure a possible bath in a brown mix works well..

It actually totally slipped my mind it was long sleeve.. ill also ask about colors.. I personally dont mind the pink as im going to weather it. ill ask about an orange fabric.

Update: long sleeve is no problem. The fabric color is the closest they could find. OR we can have them done in white, and then dye them here.. let me know what you think.. the color in the film varies from pink to red to orange.. and it looks old.. i still think the pink will work with some weathering, but let me know what you think... input please!!

I'm partial to white and I can dye it to get a lighter shade maybe with a couple of different colours to better match the movie - but if the majority vote for pink that's ok too, I'm sure it will work either way. Happy to follow the crowd on this one.

I would dye them. He would send me extra cloth so i can find the correct shade. or just go the pink route and each person tweaks his own. It depends on what we ALL agree on...
