I had ran this suggestion past Lee last night and it was done that quick. Lol. He loved the idea and is super excited to do a black and white paintjob. Glad you guys are digging the idea! Also, good to see some Rainman regulars support. :duff

If it was Bill V3 people would be going out of their minds. Rainman taking this on is the equivalent of HT doing Ripley. . .I won't be surprised if he drops this idea.

Agreed. Bill V3 is the last thing We need.

I hope he sticks with this. I've dreamed of a 1/6 B&W piece for a long time (Fonda from Grapes of Wrath, any Bogart role, The Hustler, Raging Bull) so if this happens and turns out as good as I think it will then that should pave the way for more B&W films to get some 1/6 love.

Must say I also expected a lot more reaction by this announcement of the greatest horror icons.

Would be sad to see this cancelled, happened before with Dumb&Dumber and a Leonardo Dicaprio.

Im going to revisit that with him -- he was sent many promo shots, said he was going to watch source material and then he took his skills towards the horror path. That's a major void in my collection and would welcome that. But I would be remiss not to understand that this particular character on this level - and like you said, he's "gotta pay bills" - won't draw the attention like many other mainstream characters.

I agree, this is a cool project. Real horror classic. Hope he goes with the iconic smirk but he said he's unsure on the expression thus far.

He'll paint everything in greyscale, I'd assume. It'll be interesting to see how it works out.

I wouldn't think there's any reason not to do a HC release.
