2 versions of Norman, plus mother in a rocking chair? I would say $2Kish. That's 3 full figures. Though the outfits aren't very complicated, so it's possible that it will be less.

Seems Lee is also making a bust of Hitchcock for one of the sets, guess a superset again.

Nice I guess, but (personally) i'd rather a bust of a screaming Janet Leigh....

Seems like Lee likes to make busts this is the third one isn't it? The Demon was first right? Then that Dracula bust and now this. Not taking anything away but it would be nice if he could be a bit more creative with his special gifts for DX's.

Amstel,

I couldn't agree more. I just read this entire thread before basically making the same comment. One of my favorite things about Lee's work is the incredible accessories. This shift to the busts is just sort of weird to me. They are beautifully rendered and this Hitchcock one looks to be the best yet, but for someone like myself who is usually semi-recreating a scene from the character's film or whatever, I don't even really know what to do with the busts.

You are right on the point. I have always been fascinated with Lee's accessories- by far the best ones are the eagle eye and the pig head.

I thought Norman's hobby in taxidermy would be better to include in this set rather than a bust. I think it would be more alluring to the whole display.

A 1/6 scale 'stuffed' bird wouldn't amount to much of a 'special item' though, would it? Also, I don't think there's been any indication of what accessories Norman will be coming with yet. Obviously a knife's a given, but apart from that there isn't really that much to choose from.

The only problem I have with the bust idea for this particular set is that RM has missed a trick by sculpting Hitchcock instead of Janet Leigh. No doubt about it, Hitchcock was a master and is deserving of such treatment, but that one image of Leigh screaming her lungs out in the shower is not only the most iconic and powerful image from the movie, but a contender for the most iconic and instantly recognisable image in cinematic history. No hyperbole involved.

It's perfect for the bust treatment and (pardon the pun) just screams 'Psycho':

A bag of candy? :wink1:

Well a bust of Janet Leigh would probably make more sense. On the other hand I felt that it's unnecessary to make a bust per set for Lee's projects. Soon you're gonna see those busts everywhere. :lol

I do agree with you that Lee missed the mark for not making Janet Leigh. The shower scene was indeed the most iconic and powerful out of the whole film.

I can tell you what happened to my bust from The Priest.

It was never opened.

Yeah I have seen quite a few Demon busts sold by itself. And they said the same as you did- never been opened nor displayed. Interesting. Am curious to see how the Dracula bust do this time.

I love that thing. It also made perfect sense actually being a bust in that instance as Captain Howdy was only ever a face flashed up on screen.

I do agree that it maybe isn't fitting for every release. I don't really get the Werewolf one with the Dracula set for example but, then again, I'm not a fan of that particular movie in the slightest so I might be missing something there.
