Raoul Duke is another great choice as well. I just think with Boston George Jung, the outfits and looks to choose from would make this character a fantastic choice for Rainman IMO

My first choice for a Depp would be Raoul. My second favorite Depp performance after Ed Wood (which, sadly, is bit too boring to be worthy of Rainman's efforts IMO).

I'm full force behind Duke but the God damn knee joint situation KILLS ME :banghead Really it isn't as much the knee joints that bother me, it's the non-sculpted legs. I'm not sure if there is a body with sculpted legs out there that respects Depp's build. The only ones I can think of are gladiator type builds like Perseus. I can deal with knee joints to a certain extent if the legs had the proper realistic texture and paint

i'd love a raoul duke too. but if we only got one depp, i might have to vote for william blake in 'dead man'. and that wouldnt be a waste of rainman's talents at all. just think it's about time someone like rainman did a young depp, circa 95-2000: really so many awesome characters from that period; i'd have to buy the set+2 extra sculpts to mod and bash into other characters. william blake in 'dead man', ed wood, benny from benny&joon, inspector ichabod crane from 'sleepy hollow'... where to begin?

much as i would love a raoul duke, i would prefer a different depp version done first. thing with the duke is he's so specific and his facial expressions could never be used to bash another depp character.

Hands down the movie and character are epic and Duke deserves the treatment. The slacks can definitely work, I just thought that most people wanted shorts. He does wear those plaid pants in the "amusement park on ether" scene. I forget if he wore pants in any other scenes but I guess the shorts aren't that necessary or iconic and pants could work. I love to have a fig with the opening scene get up. Those pink pants rock :rock :lol

He does still need some type of muscle body because of the short sleeves and open shirt...that's problem number 2.

I'm not too familiar with that body but it looks to be as jacked or more so than the TTM19. I think the best option would be a Bruce Lee body heightened and painted to the proper skin tone.

The only other body that I know of has the general proportions but lacks quality on several levels is the Kaustic KP01A. But it also would need heightening and I don't know if it's possible with its foot pegs. I'm also unfamiliar with its compatibility with HT hand pegs:

If it can be heightened, and the hand pegs are compatible with HT, then this actually may be a good solution for Raoul!!!! :idea

Shorts are probably slightly more iconic but for the sake of the problems it would cause I'd settle for pink slacks.

Yes the arms would need swapping for a form of muscle body but these are easier to locate and switch really.

Fingers crossed anyways. Would you think sculpted hat or cloth?

I'm undecided about the hat. I think that the proportions and look of sculpted hats usually work out better than removable. But if a cloth hat can be made with a realistic look/fit, I'd be 1000% behind it. It would be awesome to yank off a high quality 1/6 bucket hat to see a bald Depp sculpt underneath :yess: :lol

Sculpted Bucket Cap all the way. It creases and fits a certain way that would require sculpting.

I'm really trying to see this Dr. Strangelove happen. Just a great character to tack on. That wheelchair though, I dont see Rainman making 20 or 30 of those.

Sculpted hat. Could be sculpted to head. Raoul would be an awesome complement to the Dude. But I echo any Lebowski characters, so would go for the Jesus and/or Walter.

Strangelove would also be a real grail, but wheelchair seems to make it out of the question. Lionel Mandrake would be nice, though. With General Buck as a complementary piece.

The wheelchair is the real trick. We know the quality level of what to expect from the man. Now we're getting into Mag's X1 territory. 1- EXPENSIVE. 2-Probably won't do a run of them.

If there was any possibility of a wheelchair happening, I'd love to see this happen:
