Super DX a la Bickle style

It's a 1/6 fig but I don't want too much to give for my $900-$1000

Super DX? :lol We gotta fight just to get the bare necessities most times.
Those super DX's ain't the move. You notice how the big custom artists aren't really interested in doing the extra headsculpt fad or going to heavy on the accessories anymore. Too much effort for somthing that eventually gets broken up, parted and sold. Keep it simple and concise but the quality as high as possible.

Duke has SDX written all over him. A functioning drug case, fly swatter, type writer, cigarette with holder, beer mug or bottle of booze, etc.... would be very much the move

Let's not forget what the Man's forte is

I way rather spend $1200-$1500 on something that offers all that Bickle did than $850 on something simple with no accessories and exposed leg joints

You been at this long enough to know what the situation is. It's better to be realistic about expectations but with that said I wish you luck on trying to convince Rainman to do all of that because it will be a first. SDX doesn't make any sense. Keep it simple and focused. How many of these would you expect him to pump out and how much time do you think it would take? I don't see a lot of people taking that $1500 plunge with you either man.

I saw a lot of people take the plunge for Bickle :dunno. People will be $1200+ into it any way you look at it sooner or later. They can get the "keep it simple set" from him for $830 and then go here and there after to get a $150 type writer.. a $50 fly swatter....

Bickle was different. That was 2 versions of a character. You talking about 1 character with a whole lot of accessories for $1500 and the challenge of meeting the expectations of a great likeness equal or better than what Hottoys has already done for Depp. It's uphill man, I like the character though but these days I'm rolling with what he's willing to do than what we're trying to force him to do.

I was saying $1500 loosely, not literally. Or generally rather, not specifically for Duke. Since it's not 2 sculpts, 2 outfits and double everything it should rightfully be less than that. My point is a Duke SDX should include the 6-7 necessary accessories that the standard retail price won't carry. I see more value in something like that than I do in a Alex V2 that would not be any less than the standard retail price just because he only includes the cane; and you know damn well that a light up song sign is not realistic :lol

He's not set up for this kind of stuff. You talking hottoys level production here. Only choice I'd personally go for is 2001, but again this really isn't Rainmans lane. Anime, nah. Django or Dr. Schultz would be interesting. Monsieur Candie would be my choice from the film.

You make a good point man, I was all down for armor and stuff but that is hard to do, perhaps someone like Madmartigan with less armor than Last Samurai, I would really love to see Django and Schultz though

One of my all-time favorites, watch it every time it's on. We talked about a Spicoli a while back in another thread and there was a fair amount of interest. Definitely would support this!
