Hey Rory, I have three Joker heads with coats, an Indy and a General Grievous in the mail on its way to you. I need 'em done by June 1st, and I expect daily updates. :)

When are you taking on work again bud?

Re: RORY'S MODS: JOKER 2.0 REMOD/Museum '89 Joker/TOD Indy/BD Luke)

Hair: I doused them in hairspray before I shipped them guys, in the hope that they will stay futzed. One byproduct of this is that it kinda dulls the colour and greasiness of the hair, but if you use a wet paint brush you can "wash/brush it out" A tiny amount of wet look gel will make it shine and keep it where you want it, obviously you need to keep it futzed over the back hatch gap. A tooth pick or a needle is very useful for futzing stray strands in front of the face which make it look great.

Enjoy them. PM me if you accidentally make him look like Barbara Streisand.

:lol

How easy is the pers to get at an adjust?

They look great.

Exactly same as before. I made a new simple hatch (just a piece of milliput with the magnet attached), which has hair on it. You pull it off and the back of the head is exactly the same as before.

Here's a pic in natural daylight, this is your head, I believe, Mishu.

The more and more I look, you killed it. I never was a fan of the dx11 as I never saw ledger in the sculpt I totally passed when it went to pre order. I only bought this because of what you turned it into. But with the nose and chine mod, you bought out the likeness. The hair added the realism. Might be the best joker I have seen. So looking forward to this. Thanks Rory for doing these.

Looks fantastic Rory. Beautiful job. :clap

Did you use anything specific to give the hair that "gel" like look to it? Judging from how it looks like once I have it in hand I'll probably want to make it look more greasy when futzing it around since his hair was pretty messy all around in the movie.

Well, that was one of the issues I had to overcome when styling the hair on these. I use a light wax warmed up to give the hair a real oily look. As well as varnish on the sides to blend and highlight. The problem with packing and shipping the heads with waxed hair, was that it was too soft to keep any futzing when packaged, so I used hair spray to set over the wax, it works well but dulls the grease. If you brush with a wet paint brush you will remove the hairspray, I would add a tiny rub of wet look gel (rub a dot between your fingers) use to much and it will give you a bald wet dog look.

Have a look when you get him and you might just want to add a little more shine.
