Talked to Rocco about starting an interest list for Ygritte. As usual need 20 to greenlight. Based on interest may be able to find someone to make her outfit.

7-22-2016 UPDATE: Sorry to have been offline on this but work has been busy. I spoke with Rocco and doing this as fully sculpted hair would run about $90 + shipping. So it looks like the best solution will be a combination of sculpted and real hair both for cost and articulation. In that case the top of the hair with sculpted, but the fall would be a real hair add-on and the sculpt will be engineered accordingly. I am looking to see if we can just find a source for the hair pieces but that will require ordering, prepping and separating into packs. So it may make more sense for folks to pick up on their own from For example: ebay https://www.ebay.com/itm/KUMIK-1-6-...316930?hash=item2814a91442:g:eUoAAOSwxp9W8-kc.
We will offer both options--Sculpted hair and sculpted/real hair and I should have prices by tomorrow

I am also reaching out to a painter who does hair work to see if he will both handle my prototype and offer services to others. Also I have reached out to a new tailor regarding the outfits to see if we can get a better price.

While this is set to go, before we release I want to nail down the details in advance so there are no surprises.

Update: Just messaged with Rocco a short while ago, Ygritte is greenlit to go! Sculpting should start in a month or so. A sales thread with details, pricing and WIPs will be coming soon.

6-11-2016 UPDATE. Rocco wants to know if folks would prefer Ygritte to be bald or have sculpted hair. Personally I'm good with bald and that's what Rocco is recommending, but I know there are lots of folks who prefer sculpted. We are going to need consensus since this will be just a short run. If the hair is sculpted I'll ask that the "fall" be a separate piece. Also is there a preference of expression? (N) Neutral or (S) Smiling. Also if you have not done so already please indicate if you are still interested ASAP.

5-1-2016 UPDATE: Rocco is about ready to go on this but a few questions.
1. Please reconfirm interest or let us know if you'd like to be added
2. Sculpted Hair or Bald? I want bald, but know some folks prefer hair. Can also see if it can be done as separate appliances.
3. Necked or neckless?

Update: got an estimate on the costume. The snow environment version ($300 + shipping); grass environment version ($400 + shipping). This is based on 10 outfits. If there are 20 takers, pricing comes down $50/per. Please indicate preference. One this project reaches goal for the head sculpts and gets underway I will get a costume prototype made.

Re: [SCULPTOR/ROCCO] Ygritte from GoT

I've wanted Ygritte for a long time.

The clothes should be fairly simple. It is her bow and arrows that need to be done.

Edit: I'd also say wigging is a must to have her hair spill out.

List updated. Would be great to get this greenlit because I highly doubt this would ever be produced. I'll start looking into someone who can do a small run of the outfits based on the reference images. If anyone has recommendations or contacts shoot me a PM.

Custom wigs would be great, but sourcing is a challenge. If you have ideas I'm sure folks would be interested. I'd get two heads, one with sculpted hair and one bald. For the looks with the hair pulled back, it could be sculpted up top so the shape looks right with strands blended in for realism. Then the loose parts could be real hair.

Ha. That's one of my big to-learn goals is wigging. I still never finished that Commander Troi doll because I need to wig her. I've got a Madonna head I need to wig too.

You probably know this already, but as someone who made this mistake, if you go with sculpted hair, you have to have the prototype outfit done so the ponytail can angle and fit over it right.

I'd buy two heads, one bald, one sculpted hair.

Re: [SCULPTOR/ROCCO] GOT Ygritte (updated with Costume info)

List updated

I may have found someone to take on the costume. Have to decide which versiom
Version 1: Snow Environment. The pelts are heavier, more uniform type and stitched together. This boots are tied on. This will likely be easier to create (hopefully less expensive) and probably goes better with the ThreeZero version of Jon Snow.
Version 2: Grass Environment. The pelts are lighter weight and more of a patchwork of mismatched animals. The boots are more structured. I think this looks better.

For now I'm going to send both to see if there is a price difference, but will need to make a final decision.

Re: [SCULPTOR/ROCCO] GOT Ygritte (updated with Costume info)

:rotfl I forgot how funny and cute Ygritte could be "oh a spider! save me Jon Snow! my dress is made from the finest silk from tra la la la day" :rotfl I would prefer the second version, the patch work of fur would make the details stand out more

Re: [SCULPTOR/ROCCO] GOT Ygritte (updated with Costume info)

Ygritte's pretty awesome hahaha I think the Grass Environment outfit is a better looking costume. Would definitely be in for either one though!!

Re: [SCULPTOR/ROCCO] GOT Ygritte (updated with Costume info)

Getting estimates on both versions of the costume. The grass environment will likely be more expensive because of the added details.

Re: [SCULPTOR/ROCCO] GOT Ygritte (updated with Costume info)

I'm in for Ygritte.

Can we see the sculpt before fully committing?

As someone mentioned previously, she is probably too niche for a company to make a 1/6 scale version of her. On paper this idea for a custom sounds really good. Just curious to know if we will be able get a better idea of what Ygritte looks like before plunking down our hard earned money.
