hey guys gonna start my next headsculpt soon was seeing if theres any interest in a spawn headsculpt from the 1997 movie since theres a comic version already. Or a savage dragon comic version headsculpt? I also plan on sculpting the spawn armor to the body using sculpey. Let me know what yous guys think! maybe post some expressions youd like to see

hey mate sounds great im definatley in for a 1/6 spawn withe cloak ,and chains etc :clap

Re: Spawn movie headsculpt or Savage Dragon

I think dragon would be badass too but im definately gonna mod the hands and arms then leave the rest of the body in normal scale. Dragon will have to be all bloody and battle damaged!

Re: Spawn movie headsculpt or Savage Dragon

Depending on the price and release date (next year would be ideal since i'm kinda broke right now) i'd like to see a spawn. I'd prefer the comic version since the medicom one is both hard to find and not that good but i'd take a movie one. I'd prefer an angry expression.

Re: Spawn movie headsculpt or Savage Dragon

Yeah,
I'd prefer the comic version too.
Wonder if we could convince Tony to make the suit. :D
That'd be swell! I'd like the modern one or the blue/red one. I really liked spawn as a kid but nowadays i just can't enjoy the comic book. It's all talk, talk and more talk. It's not even interesting anymore. Todd pretends that he's writing an espionage comic but in it's core it's about a guy with a symbiote who kills demons. He tries to present it as a book for thinking but it ain't working. The New Avengers is a thinking book. Spawn is a boring book nowadays. The way that as it turns out they manipulated the whole event and Al was supposed to take the suit is weak storytelling. It's like saying "i don't have anything left to write so here's a twist!" And the whole satan and god are brothers who fight like juvelline kids is not into my taste.
Whether you are an theist or an atheist you've got to respect the source material when writing religious stories. Actually, you have to respect the source material everytime you expand a character's story or make a movie based on it. Lucifer (satan) is a fallen angel, end of story. From then you can do whatever you want and make your own story but this is a certain piece of the source material you have to stay true to. And usually, religious comic stories tend to fall sort. I liked the Ghost Rider series from Ennis (i think it was him who wrote them). The one with the two angel brothers, one from which became a demon and the "angel" wanted to take the place of God.
Simon Baz was handled quite well in my opinion. They introduced him only for the sake of diversity but he developed into a really interesting character and one of my favorite lanterns. And Supernatural handles the source material really well and it shapes its own story but without changing important parts.

Re: Spawn movie headsculpt or Savage Dragon

I just got in some 2mm leds for the eyes on the spawn, ive decided to do an angry expression as well. The movie mask looks like a helmet with the big eyes so im definatly gonna make him squinting and pissed. As for the body Im going to go more with the movie version with all the spikes out on the shoulders. Maybe a slight blend of the comic book but the realism of the textured symbiote suit.

A mix of the two would be great! I'd keep the face, "armor", colors and maybe the shoulder pads from the movie version and everything else from the comic.
