Pop, don't forget, Stallone is only about 5'7"- 5'8" tall. His bio reads 5'9" or 5'10" depending on what you read, but like many athletes, they lie in the bio.

I missed the talk about the TTM19 vs. 21 and just stumbled on it now. I hate to be the one to say I told ya so buuuuut.... :lol

I still think that the most fitting type body would be a Cap First Avenger or equivalent (the same has been used for a couple of figs), but those are hard to find. He’s a lot bigger than you guys are giving him credit for. Take a look at all the pics in the thread; he’s a buff son of a b_tch! He looks thick as a tree in both the sweater alone or with the jacket. The sweater and jacket are both pretty fitted and he fills them out like a tank.

I guess the TTM19 is the default way to go because it’s more easily accessible than the better options. I hope the sweater and jacket can add enough bulk to mimic the build

Yeah, I hear ya. The problem with the cap body was that it's kind of difficult to get as you said and the seamstress only has standard released bodies to work on.

This is coming along great. I'd hoped the mouth would be slightly open like Arnie's but still looking good. Will the bodies be modded to be slightly shorter? Just not too short.

Well, I wasn't aware that people wanted it with a slightly open mouth, I can do it if everybody is on board. :1-1:

As for the body, this is not a full figure PER SE, it includes the head and the limited clothing BUT not the body. This wasn't planned as a regular full figure thing because Teddy Daniels wanted me to do the head, hat, and hands only and he is in charge of the clothing part.

This was a "collaboration" of sorts, so everyone has to buy the body by themselves and the boots and/or sneakers.

I wasn't paying attention to the body choice conversation because I was assuming the figure included the body. Now I need to pay closer attention to this important detail. Is there one body everyone is agreeing on? You guys know the details much better than I do? Also, where is the best place to get the black Chuck's?

The seamstress is already tailoring the clothing to the TTM19, there is no turning back now, the body discussion happened a few pages ago.

Thanks Johnny, now I know what to look for. Is there a similar version that is not Hot Toys?

Thanks for the link on the shoes. The one's from Monsi toys, can the little white circular emblem be removed and replaced with something that doesn't have Monsi toys written on it?

You mean a similar body to the TTM19 ? There's this replica by HITFIGURE:

The same height, same arms, the torso is a different "sculpt" but it's practically the same body. The only thing the differs a little is the neck, kinda longer by a few millimeters and the joints are not as tight as the TTM19, but it can hold a pose no problem.

I actually don't know, but since the pants are covering it, I don't think it'll be noticeable.

Since the Stallone will have a neck, how would it work with the hitfigure 1 since it has a neck also.

Yea the cap body would have been a great choice it's just not as easily accessible :(. I have one to hand and I think the frame would have been just right for early sly but we'll see how the TTM-19 turns out I still think it's gonna rock either way.

No bodies with the fullset you need to supply them yourself :). I'd prefer the sculpt to stay the way it is atm if possible my preference would be mouth closed.

I picked a pair of them up when this project started there really really good! I'd imagine you'd be able to remove the circular emblem if you wanted but will check tonight when I get home.

This is true but height is something that's not as easy to control as build. Everything is made generically roughly 12", give or take. I wish that they did make something with a slim's height but a Cap's build for the shorter, stockier guys like Sly. There are much less options when it comes to playing around with different heights but there is a fair amount of physique options out there, plus there’s padding and other tricks.

The 21 was small from the get-go and I always thought so just by looking at Arnie Kim's full set. That looks too slim for Rocco. Even thru the layers of clothes it's evident. It's exactly like when people were modding their Bane's with TTM21 arms so he could do the boss pose. The 21's arms are way too skinny for Bane and you can see it right thru the coat.

If the 19 is the only option then the sculpt will have to be neckless. I still think that the 19 won't convey the proper girth for Rocky, even after the layers of clothes but we'll see. If he doesn't fill out well but there's still some room in the clothes, the original (not Avengers) Thor body may be a good alternative. It has the same arms as the Avenger Cap but it's made for a neckless sculpt like the 19. It doesn't have thigh extenders glued on like Cap which is a good thing because if we need them we can just add them.

Closed mouth across the board? You guys don't dig the iconic Stallone lip? :lol

I can go either way

His iconic look is because of partial facial paralysis, including his tongue, lip, and cheek.

I like the Stallone lip too because of the point greatlakes6 made, I think that's pretty much a part of his look because of this condition.

But if it's too late to change it doesn't bother me.
