Fantastic figure arrived today. The pics only tell half the story because it looks even better in person. I've got him on a Hitfigure body for now, which fits perfectly by the way. However the head connector doesn't match up and the connectors for the hands are a little too big although I could probably warm those up to soften the plastic enough to slide onto the hands. Anyone else running into this? I might haveta swap the body out for a TT. I can always used the HF somewhere else. Waiting for some converse and boots to arrive so I can decide on footwear.

Can't go wrong with either IMO...it's all personal preference since movie accurate don't exist...but I give a slight nod to Carlito Boots simply cuz they have that recognizable 70's male high heel on the boots. Just my thoughts :hi5:

Not greatest angle, and def not Yunsil's jeans:

Spent some quality time with Rocco today! This fig rocks!!!!! :rock

You did a killer job on this JOhnny!! The outfit is beyond awesome too. The shirt sort of worried me at first in the WIPs but in hand it is top shelf and looks incredible.

This fig is as charming as Stallone was on screen playing the loveable loser. When I look at it I can hear ridiculous lines coming from it like "Yea, yea I did real good last night. You shoulda seen me" or his preparation in the mirror for his turtle food joke :lol:lol

This is a great fig of a great character from a great flick. Thanks a ton JOhnny for your hard work, and Teddy for making this happen :duff

So back to the shirt. The shirt looks so damn good that I'd want to display him without the jacket sometimes. The Wolvie arms are properly jacked and fills the shirt well but the damn chicken chest and flat back always bugged me with the HT muscle body torso.

I'm thinking of doing this mod to puff up the chest and back a bit. The Cap Avengers body has a unique piece that no other body (that I could think of) has. The chest, traps & back are a single piece that are glued onto the torso. I'm going to remove it and see how it looks on the Wolvie torso. That'll fill the grey shirt better and give him a much more natural look without the jacket.

Can you guys give me your opinion on the Wolverine boots I used. I have the Converse Chuck's too, but was curious what you thought. Two more views are listed below.

The Wolvie boots are menza menza IMO. They're passible I guess but the Cuban style boots out there (Carlito & Leatherface are the only ones I know of) is way more on the money then the western style boot.

The Carlito boots are as near perfect as you're gonna get. They are a smidge small but it doesn't stick out horribly when you're looking at the figure so it appears fine. The size difference is more noticeable if you take them off and put them next to most other 1/6 shoes. A repaint for the accurate color and weathering will make the Carlito’s as good as could be

I posted right past this :lol

Bingo! That's exactly what I'm talking about. Great repaint bro. That's as good as it gets for Rocky boots :clap

Glad you got it!!!

As for the hitfigure body, the new version (which is the one that is all over ebay) has big wrist pegs, older versions of the Hitfigure has similar TTM19 size. The hands were made to fit the TTM19 specifically so it might need modding if you use it on other wrist pegs, I forgot to let you guys know about it, but since we chose the TTM19 I thought it was a given. Sorry about that.

What I did was shaving the peg with an xacto knife so the peg could fit the hole in the hand, then I super glue the peg to the hands. I won't be taking them apart, so I am not worried about that.

Maybe you could get some TTM19 wrist pegs on ebay, or glue them permanently :p .

Thanks for the kind words Pop, means a lot!!! :1-1::1-1::1-1:

I can't wait to see your mod!

Trying to put mine together, and man is this a sweet figure. Pure class. Just wish I hadn't misplaced the damn Carlito boots! I had them out on the mantle for ages, then put them up "so I wouldn't lose them." Famous last words.

If anyone notices a pair of the Carlito shoes for sale somewhere, please let me know. Checked ebay, nothing at the moment.

How did you paint those? I have never painted anything but a model or walls in the house. Very nice.
