It's looking great. Glad to be in the list !!!

Thanks!!

Have a lot of aniticipation to work on this project. Right now I use most of my free time to finish open projects but I will already show some more progress these days and there will be a lot more soon.

Is Yunsil still doing the outfit or someone else?

Most likely someone else, not known for doing 1/6 outfits yet. But I need to check the quality first, the selected fabrics are promising already.

Fabrics for Elliott's outfit selected. (y) More soon.

Still have the option to commission Yunsil but at 10 outfits the price would be pretty high. Sample & proto costs / 10 + actual outfit costs + shipping costs & transaction fees would sum up to approx. $560 per outfit, pretty much imo.

Okay fellas, happy I can show you the first actual part of this set in hand. These crates are very very filigree in 1/6 yet still pretty sturdy. Fun fact: The grid construction is meant to withstand forces while being lightweight and that works just as good on these miniatures.

Got them printed in two different materials to compare them. How do you like the crate?

The actual run will all be printed, too as casting them is pretty much impossible. On the upper frame two more webs will be added.

The Neca E.T. chimed in to take a look. It really is a great figure for the price but you can see it would not work for this set as it is not exactly 1/6 scaled, the proportions and posture would not allow it to be posed inside the crate accurately (head to small, body standing to high).

The E.T. we will sculpt for this will be made to fit inside the crate perfectly and it will also have a slighty different expression as well as more detailed eyes and some other differences.

Covering a lot up front but material and artists to be paid will sum up. Are some of you on the list willing to support the project with a deposit in this early stage already and for that get a garuanteed spot on the list so you don't have to worry to might miss it once available?

No problem to pay a deposit. I would prefer iris if they could make a better price. I think they are almost on the same level (stitching) for doing the jeans. But I think the majority prefer yunsil, which is also ok for me.

What do you estimate the cost is for the full set and what amount do you want for a deposit? I’m fine with giving a deposit, but I would want to know my final cost.

Thanks for your first feedback!! Makes sense.

Edit: After more progress I can finally name a concrete price soon.

This is the current status btw

Elliott

The crate looks cool, but it is missing the horizontal lines along the top section.

Thanks! And yes correct.
(...) On the upper frame two more webs will be added. (...)

I will add them by hand like on the real crates after painting as they are meant to be hollow underneath.

Think on the real crate they are made of metal (painted) to surround the frame to make it more sturdy.

I am interested. I loved that movie as a kid.

Got you on the list so I will keep you up to date via pm and here. (y)

E.T. never gets old, a prime example of how great animatronics still beat even modern CGI, just like Jurassic Park.

Will there be a full ET figure under the blanket or just a "form"?

A really good question.

Still need to decide that but the current progress leads to the conclusion that the actual E.T. that was used for this scene had no full body under the the blanket.
From all specs compared to other scenes it looks like his full body would have actually been to big to fit inside the crate.

@ all: Would it matter to you if E.T. has a full (detailed) body under the blanket?

Awesome. Anxious to see more!!!

You will find two more shots on Instagram.

We searched for and went through an extensive amount of reference material and learned a lot about E.T. and its origin on the way. I will post some cool insights for you soon.

Ale did an extraterrestrial job sculpting E.T. by hand from scratch, aiming to reach an absolutlely movie accurate expression and level of detail.

Think we did not promise to much, please post what you think. We can't wait to show you the first proto painted up.

Major updates on 1/6 Elliott will follow in the next days, updates on the BMX will follow soon after.

You can still join the list, this will be open for reservations shortly. Everybody on the list will get a pm once it starts.
