DX option with ironic and smirking head sculpts...

Re: [Iminime] Die Hard Nakatomi Cop - "Yippee-Kay-Yay-Motha..."

Sorry, I confused myself in my previous post.

The "serious" pic on the first page doesn't really look very serious to me. Looks a bit docile actually. I think of serious as similar to the "intense" look, but without the wide eyes. This is from a different movie, but this is what I'm thinking of:

This is iconic McClane to me, and I would prefer this kind of look first (not sure if you consider that intense or serious, but I guess it is intense without the wide eyes), and "ironic" second.

:lecture:exactly: good find. Yes if this expression can be achieved with die hard 1 overall look for the character Id say put this out in front Wake, I was also in for the Gruber list too.

Guys I agree thats a great look. BUUUUT I wanted to keep the references limited to scenes from Die Hard 1 only. Willis is thinner and leaner in the first die hard not to mention significantly younger than he was in DH3. Feel free to scour the movie for the right frame and I will replace the option. BUT IT MUST BE A SCREENGRAB from the film. It's too abstract for Denny and his team otherwise.

Is it safe to say this is a success? Lol.

Hopefully LOL. Lots of interest in less than 24 hrs. Although some differences of opinion on sculpt choice.

Re: [Iminime] Die Hard Nakatomi Cop - "Yippee-Kay-Yay-Motha..."

I just found a great site with screen caps here:

https://www.fanpop.com/clubs/die-hard/screencaps/163

Unfortunately, after looking for about 15 minutes I see no expressions like the one I posted :lol (seems like Gruber actually gets more screen time than McClane, though I have been skipping around the pages)

In fact, about 80%+ of the McClane shots are open mouthed, "ironic" type looks. If anyone else finds something, please post.

Finally! Please add me to the list, interested in Intense with Ironic for DX, Thanks.

Re: [Iminime] Die Hard Nakatomi Cop - "Yippee-Kay-Yay-Motha..."

The "intense" shot look great, but here's the problem I see--imagine that figure sitting on the shelf in a static "museum" pose. Imagine the figure when Denny solicits him, and every angle has him looking wild eyed. I just don't know that it works for that purpose, though it is great as a closeup for a poster of the film. If you don't have him in just the right pose, he'll look nuts instead of focused, and that's not a good McClane expression IMO. I think lots of people would then say, "man, I like the idea, but it just doesn't work here for me. Pass."

I'm thinking about this from my own selfish POV as well as a general business concern for Iminime (their success benefits all collectors of this kind of stuff in the long run, after all). Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find something that works better here though. If I have time, I'll try to find something when i get home tonight. Film is just so dark and moody in general, and Willis was so expressive and comical most of the time.

Re: [Iminime] Nakatomi Cop - "Yippee-Kay-Yay-Motha..."
