We are planning a bit ahead for this one. For Halloween 2012 will be tackling the WGP John Carpenters "The THING" project. While making a MacCready head is all well and good, he really feels incomplete without something to fight. Like Ripley without an Alien.

Everyone wants different things and we don't mind making all of them as long as they get sufficient interest to have them made, so please let us know what you would like to see!

1) Dog thing kennel- I have wanted a 1:6 THING dog Kennel forever. Cramped. Claustrophobic. Wicked. We would make the diorama similar to the smaller SOTA (?) one from a few years back. Definitely want an entangled dog in the back ground as well.

2) The block of ice. This would make a great prop... IF we weren't planning on making a "THING". We figured most people won't have room or need for both.

3) Blair Thing- It would be fun to sculpt a Blair Thing with an actual Wilfred Brimley likeness and looking a bit more wicked. Maybe afte the Kennel, depending on interest?

You've seen John Carpenters THE THING before, haven't you, Groovy? It's one of may favorite movies of all time!

Just to give everyone updates, it looks like we should be getting to MacCready and Norris Crab for sculpting in Jan. Our work on David from the Lost Boys took us a while between his two heads, hand, feet, and medal (but worth it because he looks gorgeous!).

The THING interest lists Groovy quoted never close so feel free to shout out interest for any of those other things!

We have a few announcements for the THING! First off, we want to announce Sean is going to begin sculpting Mac and the Crab Thing in May. Second, we really want to make this special so have contacted someone to also make MacCready's jacket for us if there are enough people interested. Whats interesting is that Mac wears the same kind of jacket FLYBOY does in the original DAWN OF THE DEAD (who we are also making), so the jacket can service two different character customs.

Right now if we get enough interest the jacket will be $110 + shipping. Please let us know if you are interested.

The slim bodies are shorter. I would avoid muscular because of the number of layers of clothes he could potentially be wearing (thermals, t-shirt, sweatshirt, jacket). Even with only two of those thats a lot of layers. I would go with regular or narrow.
