Guys I think we all owe ShortRound some reputation points for getting this together, I see so many members who haven't done as much as he has with way more points! Show the man some love!

I was thinking the same thing. Done!

Thought I'd post this here as well, also have it over in my thread as well HERE!

Update 8/10/14

Okay Guy's,

Finally finished painting these things! Okay let me start out by saying sorry for the crappy pic quality, took several shots with my phone, under different lighting and these were the best of the bunch. Sadly it's hard to make out the Brown/Black colored marble type affect on the bowl part of the pipe as well as the texture but man it looks pretty awesome in person.

I added the texture on the bowl part and I'm very happy with the results, when you see it in hand I think you'll all like it. I didn't want to over do it as in this scale and at that size it's very easy to do! It was painted a brown color with washes of black in a certain way to achieve that type of marble pattern look to it, mouth part was painted black with a light gray wash in the 2 lines to slightly highlight the detail. I then dry brushed several different shades of gray and white inside the bowl to simulate use and old ash. Pipe was then given a few gloss coats to achieve the final wet look as it had in the film.

Pens took the longest as this had several different layers to achieve a wood grain look to it. After all those steps they were then give a gloss coat, I then painted the Brass/Gold parts using a very nice Metallic Brass colored paint. This has a real nice realistic look in person but the photos kind of dull it out. What I like about the paint I used on the metal parts is the pigment in the metallic paint is very small and helps sell the look and feel in this scale. Other types of metallics show bigger size pigments and flake/glitter and at this scale just looks like crap honestly.

Okay before the pics I will be sending out a PM to all the people on the list for payment. I want to get everyone's payment in at once so I can order and then receive the parts back all at the same time. I would like to receive everyones payment in by August 17th, as it will take 2 weeks to get the parts back from the printers.

Hope you like!

Thanks
Mike

Amaxing work for how damn tiny those pens are and ash in the pipe? Mike, get the **** outta here!

Re: [YUNSIL]Daniel Plainview charcoal suit outfit (NEW/IMPROVED PROTOTYPE/SHIPPING SO

So is this definitely tailored for the TTM21? Originally I thought it was said TTM18 for this and I bought that, fortunately had another figure who needed a TTM18, so should I get a TTM21?

Yeah ShortRound said a few times TTM21, so that's what I got. I do have a TTM18 in my drawer just in case tho haha.

Re: [YUNSIL]Daniel Plainview charcoal suit outfit (NEW/IMPROVED PROTOTYPE/SHIPPING SO

i know its tailored to a 21, but theres no way Ill be using that body for plainview, way way too bulky. Ill be going for a standard narrow shoulder, or perhaps a mod of some kind using slim TT arms. I can't have DDL using the same body as Vincent Vega!

Re: [YUNSIL]Daniel Plainview charcoal suit outfit (NEW/IMPROVED PROTOTYPE/SHIPPING SO

I have both body sizes on hand so i'll try both out, but I agree, DDL definitely did not jack up for this role.

What's another quality reasonable priced slim shoulder body that can be used if the other one you referenced is too buff?? I want a good one friend but still confused on all this body crapola

The TTM21 is the same size as the narrow. Why do people think the advanced is this "jacked" up body? :lol

If anything, think of it as the new and improved narrow. :exactly:

Thank you Hector for The Clarification. :lol TTM 21 Folks :yess:
