I really want this made, however with so little interest I doubt I'll get it started. I just can't count on 10 members to send payment. Look what's happening with my buddy Chubbyman's Walt Ozymandias jacket. I'm not chancing down payments. That's a headache.

I don't blame you man. These kinds of projects are the worst and you don't understand until you do them. I've absolutely despised the ones I've done. But the thread has only been up for a few days. Rdeezys bond had a good month or so until it was up past 40.

I understand people change their minds or can't swing it when payment time comes. But I can't even get a response from people sometimes. It's frustrating. At least with 30+ people, the project can move along.
And I'm finding out, as soon as the outfits ship, here come the interested parties asking for a set. :slap:lol

That's the worst when it comes to payment time and you have people who flake and then two months later causally hit you up like you just have a stock of these things waiting to ship out. Even worse when it's someone who flaked in the first place!
All of the above has happened to me. Yes I'd say that's about right 30 interested is about as safe as you can get to estimate that there will be 10 who will not **** around.

Otherwise if the list doesn't quite reach 30 in say two weeks or so, how about setting a payment deadline and if all interests don't pull through by that deadline then can call it quits and refund the money to those that have paid in?
I think this tux is pretty iconic so would be a shame to never see it get made. Katos got me buzzed though feels like he may have lost interest in making them. Yunsil is our last hope on this one

I think the lack of a Craig sculpt being currently produced might have people less excited as well. It seems when a sculpt is being produced the same time as the outfit, it definitely leads to more interest.

That is true, but then again, for something like the jacket project, it's really niche so I think I won't even reach 10 interested. that's why I'm just going for it or else it won't even be considered. The crappy part is I have to hold on to people's money.

I agree. Particularly if it is a definitive sculpt, then a lot more people see the opportunity to make a grail figure. The Connery project was well timed with bbkill's sculpt.
Perhaps someone here needs to prod a sculptor to either re-release their effort or begin the next Craig.
