Even thow i think the grey jack is nice or maybe even better. We all paid for black blazer to be screen accurate I dunno! U guys are nitpick on the size of pattern and color tho! Make the black blazer and leave the rest be so we can get these in hand and move on!

These are both wrong examples... A grey jacket and a black jacket both go well with a grey vest.. Which is what are shown in the picture. However a grey jacket just does not go with a red vest couple with a black pant

I suggest a deep red vest with a black jacket and black pants

Just some food for thought. He wears both the black and grey coats with this outfit below so, (as you do not actually see it on screen), I don't see why he could not have either with the yunsil set. Guess whichever is more popular.

^^ I read your post, all I am saying is the vest is decided and it will be red, just will be darker, based on post number 1 ... Since the vest is red / maroon, there is no reference of grey or black with it. So, if we are just going to go by gut feel black makes more sense is all I am saying.

The vest in your pics are grey so...

I understand all that.

I was merely pointing out he wears BOTH coats with the grey vest set up. As he never has a coat with the outfit chosen, technically either could go. So it should be whichever is more popular.

I also don't mean any disrespect to your post but technically 5 colors in one outfit is not preferred. Grey + black + Red vest + scarf grey + white... Just too many colors... More colors can be there if they are a shade or two lighter from each other... But the grey jacket brings a very different tone to a sharp dresser. It wld work well if it was with grey pants, grey or steel vest and with red scarf for just a tinge of contrast.

Again long answer short my preference is black jacket as was initially expected...

Aesthetically, I think the gray coat works well with the gray vests/red ties as in the movie, but prefer a black blazer with the red vest and gray tie, if that's what she is going with. If you want to switch to the gray coat, I would suggest changing the whole outfit to make it screen accurate.

But yes if grey is the version to go then the vest needs to be grey and the tie as red...

Majority voted for the red vest, so that's what I'm sticking with and will not be changed. The only thing in question is the coat. If Yunsil says it's too late to change it. Then a grey coat is what everyone is getting. I think it's a better investment to be honest. We're getting more for our buck. :dunno

And you can't really say it's not accurate because we don't know what coat he wears with the red vest.

If it does stay with the long gray coat than I would be perfectly happy with that and prefer it over a black blazer. I think the proto looks stunning.
If you want to be screen accurate you can always remove the coat.

I found this article that breakdown pretty much everything he wore thought the film. Pretty interesting. From what I gathered the grey coat would go more toward his daytime dress style.

I actually really like the grey coat. I think it works well with the rest of the outfit and it'll help the figure stand out once fully put together. I'd be cool with the darker blazer too though.

I am accessing on cell phone as I am in transit, but if i glance through the vest number 2 section ( red vest) on that link there is a "this guy" link where he says that the guy has nailed down his costume. The guy there is wearing a black coat. I will relook when I land but that's what it looked like at an initial glance.

I think the grey coat is the one to go with but also if she offers the black jacket as a side why not I'll take that to .

Doc Holliday and Kate Elder costumes. warning lots of pics.

I do think the black works better with the red vest than the gray, but Doc never wore a black frock coat in the film that I'm aware of, so gray is probably better if the consensus is that the coat preferable to the black blazer.

fair enough... whatever everyone wants ... but black wld seems far far better. i think if she had a similar stitching for the black one and they were pegged right next to each other.... may be people wld think on my lines. but i don wanna be a road block... whatever works for most... but in real life red vest with grey coat wld look very weird especially when doc was so stylish...grey unless worn on happy miss match day, almost always goes with a complementary vest and not contrasting... anyways... i will let go...
