Yikes, sorry to see that Lakota. I might not have noticed about the hat either, except that there was a clear gap in the front of the head that didn't make sense to me. I was going to remove the hat to see if I could dremel down part of the head or something to get it to lay more flush, but after removing it noticed that the indentations and bow on the hat were backwards. Fortunately, there are holes dremeled into the Doc head on either side that allow you to replace it pretty easily, but some black paint was removed from the hat when I took it off. Take care if trying to fix this on your own. I used some plain black acrylic paint and it doesn't work perfectly, as the Aeon paint has a sheen to it.

I also noticed the gap when I first got it and thought maybe that's just how it was. Yeah it snapped pretty easy I didn't even apply any force .Luckily I got the hat off and I did not damage the sculpt at all. I'm trying to get a hold of Lee to just maybe sell me a painted black hat I left him a message explaining that it broke trying to remove it to fix it from being backwards. My Plainview was backwards also but that popped right off there was hardly any glue holding it down. I am totally OCD crazy when I comes to figure so I will deathly need a replacement. I will glue it and use it for the time being, and if he doesn't replace it in January I'll just buy a new sculpt unpainted and have someone paint it. But I don't see why he probably has cast laying around-sending me a new hat shouldn't be too much trouble I'll even pay for it

Gluing it would probably still leave a noticeable seam. To really fix something like that I would use some epoxy putty or something to hide the seam, then carefully sand it down and repaint. Definitely better if you can get a replacement.

If it's just a black hat, you can try putting some sculpting clay on it thinning it out to cover the crack and paint over it...Might work, might not, i'm not a sculptor LOL

Yea, with diligence and patience it'll work although I think you'd hafta end up painting the whole hate again. With that said, I'm sure Lee will fix this for you. I don't think he's ever let anyone down and hanging before.

Well the silver lining with the paint is that it's just one color, so you could at least approximate Aeon's work pretty easily though you may not get that same sheen.

I glued it tight and applied some black acrylic , Karamazov you were right it's a different black. You cannot tell its glued from the detolf but my OCD knows lol. Hopefully I hear from Mr. Lee this week

Send it to Jake, he fixed Gido's cracked Blondie hat, even resculpted a missing portion and you cant even tell! And the Blondie hat is much thinner than Doc's hat
