Hey there. I can handle an airbrush quiet well but still learning.
I want to get better doing heads. Next level would be how to do great realistic looking pupils!

How do professional artists do real looking one?
Like wet in wet technique trying to get color gradients? Or using oil colors? Or some special other paints?
I mean some pupil looking "translumiscent". Or is it just traditional painting layer per layer trying to make the eye color looking reals?

Example:

Any tips and suggestions would be helpful so I can do practice practice and more practicing :)
Or are there any good video tutorials?

Thank you

Only one advice - practice, practice and more practicing.

I’d suggest you try oil paint. Easier to control and blend because of the long drying time.
Other than that it’s a matter of trying different gloss varnishes, or UV resin.
Basically a lot of experimenting…

Yeah I will be doing practice practice practice, but it is always helpful, to know what others are using. If you practice all the time but with wrong materials you can't get similar results. That' why I'm curious.
Will also try different gloss varnishes. thanks
