Hello fellow freaks, my name is Nathen Reinke. I am an artist and avid collector of sci-fi, Marvel, and DC merchandise. I joined this forum a couple years ago when Hot Toys annouced the DX Joker, and have been collecting Hot Toys since then.
My other hobby is drawing, usually characters from all the same properties that I collect. Last winter I did work for Topps' Star Wars Galaxy Series 7, and it was released last month. I have a twin brother Keven, who has all of the same interests and shares the same drawing talent. He also did Star Wars Galaxy series 7, and there are a few sketch cards we did that can be displayed together; you just have to get lucky finding them. Since we are such huge Star Wars fans, we put a ton of effort and detail into our cards, and it shows. Here are the ones that have turned up on ebay so far. https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=star+wars+reinke&_sacat=868&_sop=10&_odkw=star+wars+galaxy+7+sketch+card&_osacat=868&_trksid=p3286.c0.m270.l1313 And here is a link to a gallery showcasing all of the cards we did. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.356635874365863.99108.352147541481363&type=3
We both enjoy doing the photo-realistic style of our favorite movie characters, and are amassing quite a collection of them. Our favorite way to display them is with Hot Toys figures because they complement each other so well with incredible realism in the sculpts and drawings. I know there have to be a few of you who would enjoy displaying them this way also, so we wanted to share them with you and offer them for sale. We call them "Reel Drawings" because of the photo-real aspect and the film subject matter. :wink1: Here are a few samples. I apologize for the glares, there is no perfect way to photograph them without.

We plan to draw many more characters, inlcuding Sweeney Todd, Leonidas, Terminator, Indiana Jones, Jack Sparrow, etc. They don't only have to be displayed with Hot Toys though. Here is an example of Elessar next to his sword.

Or you could simply buy your favorite character to hang in your living room.

Another cool and unique way to display some of our drawings is in this filmstrip. We came up with the idea to showcase a large ensemble cast or show a memorable scene, like the Death Star Trench Run. The glares on them are from the outer plastic bag, as they were bagged and for sale at a convention this past weekend. There are a limited number of these left though.

I started this thread to see who might be interested in purchasing prints, framed prints, and/or filmstrips. Loose prints are printed on heavy stock and come in plastic protectors for $15 plus shippping. Framed prints could come in a couple different colors or styles, and will be $65 plus shipping. Filmstrips are 45" long x 5" tall, and come bagged with 3 pushpins to hang on the wall, for $90 plus shipping.
One other way we have come up with to display our work is a frame that holds two drawings, one from each of us. We call it a "Double Feature" because of the double artists and double characters, and to stick with the film theme. :wink1: The first one is Batman vs. Bane.

Future ones could include Harry Potter vs. Voldemort, Jack Sparrow and Barbossa, and Indiana Jones and Henry Jones. Double Features are $50 plus shipping.
We are open to any suggestions of favorite characters or scenes you all would want to see for Reel Drawings, Filmstrips, or Double Features. They can be prints or commissioned originals, for additional cost. We want to hear from you! :hi5:

These are great. Question....what size is the print? 9x12, 11x14, 11x17?

The frames are 11x14 matted to an 8x10 print. I haven't them bigger because when the frame is any larger, it certainly starts to take away from the Hot Toys figure when displayed together. Some of my more recent drawings have been drawn originally as an 11x14, so if you need them that big I could do prints that size for slightly more. I haven't tried printing any larger than the original size because I wasn't sure how it would blow up, but with my detail it probably could hold up.

Does anyone need any detail shots? I know the filmstrip pictures came out a little fuzzy, but some of those drawings are ones I'm most proud of. And they look really nice and glossy in that long frame.
