I honestly do not see the point of starting an interest thread if there is no movement on the product they are offering especially when at the beginning, Toria needed a certain amount of quota before she would even consider this project.

Now that a large amount of people (far exceeding the quota) have expressed interest, one would expect that Toria would be motivated to get these done. There are a lot of money to be made from these Henley sales and even more so if they turn out to be much better than Kato's.

Giving us some updates from time to time is the professional thing to do. We have done our part by showing support and interest in getting them.

She at least owe it to us to give us some updates that this project is still alive.

Yes, I prefer it is she would take a few minutes to post something here so we know it's still alive. As of now, she hasn't been posting here for months and one can only assume that this project is not at the top of her list of things to do.

Im split on this one.

While yes, she has not taken a cent of our money and therefore we can't really accuse her of any wrongdoing, at the same time dissapearing for months with no updates is somewhat unprofessional and won't do her reputation any favors when it comes time to gather interest for future projects.

She gets an easy pass because she has no obligation to anyone to show another single update, should that be her choice (which I don't think will be the case). If your hopes were raised and she let you down...such is the hobby.

I agree this thread is open to gain interest nothing more there has been plenty of people who started a comission up and and got nothing to show for it some of you act like she stole your money.

i think some folk may have started gathering other parts which DID cost them money...like Corrose's box...pants and boots from whatever e-retailer you get your stuff from etc., i think that’s why people are upset that they took a chance on someone "promising" to do something and then coincidently...not delivering...all arguments are valid...yes...no money has exchanged but like i said...when someone makes an announcement and proclaims that something will be available....people tend to try and get their figure ready for what was announced...i don't know too many people that would have waited for this and then started to put their figure together after they received it....which prolly is the wiser move if you kind of think about it in hindsight...:dunno

kinda happy i too got Kato's outfit from when he first offered them...you can hate on his prices but the man ALWAYS delivers and his stuff is of quality...

I see your point Levit, but patience is a virtue. Speaking of which, I'm not convinced this project wont still happen. I have another Toria interest thread open, and I haven't yet spent the money I've budgeted for it

LOL....patience is a virtue INDEED but remember everyone was buying up boots for Kato's outfit and other accessories just like they did for this one....LOL...

and you must have "zen"-like obedience with your budgeting for projects cause i would have(and did) spent it on other projects....vicious cycle this is....LOL

Yeah. I already have boots, pants, gloved hands, watch, kill knife, syringe, I.D. lanyard, sculpt, commissioned paint and all I need is this henley and the sculpt to be completed (which will be pretty soon). Anyway, I really hope this comes through. I am counting on Toria. In the PM she sent me, she stated by the end of the month we would have updates and it would be well worth the wait, which is now only a couple days. Let's hope it happens. She also stated she is working for pretty big names in the industry atm and who knows how that is going and how much of her time it is eating away. I have PM'd again since and asked that she please stop by this thread and give a shout out if nothing more to say that she is still around. That was just a few days ago. Anyway, I (and probably several others) have been spoiled by some of the customizers on here that are great communicators and keep us constantly abreast of what is going on. That may just not be Toria's strong suit and MO.

I just hope either Toria comes through or Kato does another run. I didn't buy Kato's when I had the chance because I saw this thread. Now that my sculpt is almost done I can't finish the bash. Waited 7 months on the sculpt to get done and at this rate my dexter wont have a henley

There is a huge difference between legal obligation and social obligation. Yes, she doesn't have to do anything. But it is only natural for people to lose optomism in this case.

You can't honestly expect a project which looked to be almost complete to just hit an unexplained standstill with no updates for months and expect people to not be upset.

Every other major customizer on this board is fairly transparent about thier buisness practices. If there is a delay, they come here and explain to all thier customers the reason.

Especially for a brand new artist who we have nothing else to base her reputation on, you can't say this won't make people more wary about having faith enough to commit to future projects.

Thanks Marf, I completely agree. I understand where everyone is coming from but I don't like where ya'll are coming from. I love you all, but damn, please stop _____in'. I already said no comments about this, there's no point.

Yes she does owe us something. Part of maintaining your customers faith is being open. If she came forward and said there has been a problem with the fabric or some other problem it would be one thing. But there has been zero communication, and that in itself is proof enough to be worried. You can't as a third party just tell people she doesn't owe them anything and expect them to be happy. Look around; people are losing faith in her. And that in itself is a reason for her to come forward and say something. Keeping your customers happy is a large part of being professional.

So stop saying people have no right to feel the way they do. Telling people to be quiet and that thier feeling are "a joke" is no way to get people reassured.

Like it or not, this is the situation. Telling people to shut up doesnt change it.
