At this point, she has fans (or not), not customers, as no money has exchanged hands. And I will reiterate, that she owes nothing to anybody. To insist otherwise just reeks of entitlement. For all we know, she could have taken a break from her work with "'X' 1/6 company" to check on the thread, taken a look at the current tone, and decided not to post anything.

So you are saying that professionalism isnt in any way linked to keping your customers happy?

I'm saying that she doesn't yet have any customers, there is no business being conducted, and therefor she doesn't need to worry about maintaining any level of professionalism.

If money had exchanged hands, we would not be having this conversation.

If she's damaging her reputation on the boards then so be it, but I would love to know how many people end up actually passing if/when she eventually finishes the project, because they're so upset with the way she conducted herself. An excuse to _____ and moan about petty frustrations, that's all it is.

I am not sure why Toria gets a special pass. Remember the Neo boots by SithlordMcgyver? Or the Neo shades by agnotise?

Those took way longer than expected but you do not see the same amount of flak with them because they actually took the time to update us on the progress from time to time.

It's the same situation here really the only difference being a lack of communication from Toria.

I wonder if most of you guys are just being nicer cause she is a girl.

I work in sales and if I ever tell a customer that since I didn't accept any payment from you and you can suck it, I will be out of a job really quick.

The key to any business is to keep an open line of communication. Customers can wait long as they get some updates from time to time.

I still really want the Henley. If I did not, I wouldn't have care less as to the progress of this product.

Sometimes people forget that a complaint is a sign to make even more business, not to not do even more business.

Customers who gave up would not have bothered.

Fair enough. That is all im really saying.
But I do think that any bad reputation she develops will be directly related to people feeling that she isn't being professional. After all, the definition of professionalism is dependant on whoever is using it. Your definition may not match thiers.
The customer is always right. Which is exactly what we became when she started taking down names. And if we want some communication from the seller, we deserve something. If not for thier sake, then for her own.

The question isn't how many people will still be buying the product when (and if) it comes out. The question is how many customers she is losing both on this and any future projects she chooses to take on because of the lack of tact displayed.

Personally I don't mind waiting at all. I have about 5 customs I am working on besides these and frankly am thankful for the extra time. But I don't like other people being told that thier feelings are "petty", "a joke", and overall unjustified because thier definition of professionalism differs from yours.. You don't get anyone to feel better by telling them they are wrong and should shut up.
If you are perfectly happy with the way things are being handled, that is your right. But like it or not, clearly some people aren't. And insulting them into silence doesn't change how they feel.

I can tell that you're trying to be objective here Shadow, and I can respect that. I'll just end my part in this by saying that my intention was not to insult anybody, only criticize the way that certain people conduct themselves in situations demanding their patience.

Firstly I want to say that I was outraged by some comments that were made on this thread, I don't know why it turned that way. I'm just amazed... :ignore: :cuckoo:
I do not do my work to only gain money, but because it's a real passion, in everything I do my wish and goal is to reach the best result as possible and sometimes for a license or for you, to do the nearest replica. It's a very long work of studying, tailoring and research of the perfect fabric. I'm extremely overflowed by the work but I never said this project was forgotten, far away, the U3 henley turns out awesomely! I don't want to say when I will post photos because of the previous reactions but there will be a near continuation to this adventure! :wink1:

I would never stop a project without letting you know.

I apologize for the delay to all the truely interested people by this project! :1-1:

I did state that I will be taking names of people that would pursue legal actions (in the Hanouaman thread) on me whenever I LEAVE the SSF boards. :monkey1 anic: :lol
