Post pictures please, I would be interested to see. The post office found my set thank god.

I certainly will. I talked to the art teacher today and showed her the difference between the photo's from the first page and then our weathering. We are trying to decide if we want to use something to thin out the paint a little and have it blend, or add a touch more paint to change the look.

Glad to hear your set arrived safely.

Sorry to keep bombarding this thread.
No luck with denny regarding refund so if anyone is interested please let me know via PM.

Joned maybe on the list could you mark "available slot" next to my name or something?

I used some Everclear and removed a little of the color. Didn't seem to affect the clothing. I just did it on a whim so I didn't give it much go but it seems the alcohol does remove some of the paint.

Do you mean Everclear the liquor? I would have never thought of that. Did you try to blend any of the colors?

Yeah, funny right? The manufacturer of my laser said that's what they use to clean the optics at thier plant so I have a bottle for cleaning too.
I haven't tried anything but qtip and alcohol just to see what it would do.

The art teacher just handed me a small container of something called Awesome that is used to remove paint from brushes. She thinks it will work for my purpose, I'm not sure though.

Well, the stuff the art teacher gave me didn't make a dent in the coloring. It didn't remove or even thin any of the paint. I guess Everclear is the drink of choice here.

Yeah I took a drink of it once, I also immediately spit it out. If you ever want to know what it feels like to be a dragon, drink that stuff. That is cool Robbie that it has so many applications.

As long as it doesn't ruin the clothing, I'm giving it a try.

Nah, it shouldn't have any effect on the commercial dies from the original fabric. Stomach acid on the other hand... High % alcohol did a fine job of removing a lot of the acrylic paint from the SSC R2 and HT Chewbacca's fur - no damage to enamel, plastics, acrylic fur or my clothes.
