Thanks solo_bones:) Yeh the eyes still need to be trimmed back a little more, i used the good 'ol' fashioned method cut with a very sharp knife & sandpaper...i've yet to invest in a dremel it's like a magic wand for customizers.
I would never have guessed ow difficult it is to paint a Stormtrooper helmet, it's very intricate at this scale...still, i'm enjoying the challenge.

Hey Irezumi! You're doing a great job of it, so far. So you've been using pens for the outlines on the dimples or paint brush? I thought about using acrylic pens as well. But I am too having some challenges painting...but I am getting better. Did you buy any Mr. Surfacer 1200 and apply that before painting?

Thanks! Yeh i've been experimenting with dual tipped Sharpies, spray paint, acrylic paint & polyurethane gloss coat.:panic: I didn't try the Mr. Surfacer but defo give it a try if i get a + 2mm helmet.
Looking forward to seeing your updates with decals?

You guys should try fine-point Gundam markers for detail work. Slight learning curve but great control.

Honestly can't see past this sculpt it's spot on, the Hot Toys lid was a big disappointment, it doesn't compare to the onscreen look of 1977 Star Wars.

So Solo, did you cut the eyes out on yours too or did you just paint them?

I painted the eyes on this one. On the first I used stickers, but they were a little warpy. I initially used metallic green, then put some black over the top.

Excellent! I had him increase the helmet to the 2Mm increase and ordered two more for myself.
