I like that material. I have picked out a few new samples but i fear there not exactly what im looking for im gonna have a chat with the tailor this week she if she had leads on wear we can get some good material for this project.

I figured out the type of material forigno uses so im gonna try to land some of that. If not maybe who ever made the last dress could help us out.

Just thought I would bump this thread with Calvcade's one-off custom Leia dress.

Scottb, I think this really illustrates how the simplest of materials can really work well. I hope you're inspired by it. :duff:

I agree my problem is i dont have a wide enough selection to choose from of white material. Im not about to take 80$ from u alll and send u out a nice dress in sub par material. If this dress was in any other color we would be long done this project!

I just got off a hectic week i never got a chance to check on online for the material forigno uses but i do have a lead now and i will be on top of it tonight!

I'd love to help, but the material I used was a found item, Groovy34 sent me some links to materials, which I'll post here later ( I'm in the pub at the moment).:duff

His material is spandex/rayon i have not figured out where he gets it but im sure it wont be too difficult to order from somewhere online.

hope this helps i have used ITY for dolls and figures because it doesnt really have a weave appearance and it has a smooth feel to touch.

for non stretch peachskin (100% poly)and Challis (100% Rayon) are the best bet because they dont have a visable weave and drape like silk.

Well, this thread is an interest thread for Leia's white dress from A New Hope that is being created by scottyb and an acquaintance of his. That is why he started this thread. If there is another thread for someone else creating one, or for a different element (like her boots or belt or headsculpt) that is a separate project. If someone else is trying to start a similar project (ie the same dress) that has nothing to do with this project.
