Printed objects are in, and they look better than I expected. The toothbrush turned out ridiculously well!

I will be trying to get them painted up soon. I need to test out the hardware on the suitcase and make sure it is sized well. I am concerned it may be a tad small but we'll see.

Working on decal research for all the items. I actually went to the store and bought a box of Russel Stovers since the box art is traditional and unchanged even to this day. Also found images of 80's era Crest toothpaste (and the inspiration for the toothbrush design I used), and images for the buttons "I 'heart' NY" and a Mao button.

A little work on the suitcase... just figuring out the hinges and whatnot. I also tried the hardware on... it is definitely a tad small but I think it looks great anyway. Once it is resized it should be perfect!

Ok some more work on the suitcase. Trying to work out the inner lining. I'm super happy with the look and the technique, but very unhappy with how messy it looks right now. Don't worry though I'm just prototyping to get everything figured out. Final products will be very neat.

The suitcase body is actually finished of FOUR pieces: two outer shells and two inserts to hold alk the cloth in the proper places. The newly sized hardware pieces should arrive next week.

Just a quick cell pic of everything in the suitcase so far . I think the size of everything is just right. Yellow painted foam board as a to scale stand in for Curious George.
